The secret to the Jump Rope challenge is to jump when the woman says "Hey!".

#5 Mario fan.

@CreamyDream Why not? Odyssey has been giving people Sonic Adventure vibes since it was first shown off.

@MarioBrax This, I think most people know. But those Heys won‘t help you much when it goes 50 and beyond. Then, you need to have that rhythm and keep it. Tbh, I started to press B in that rhythm in the 40s. Helps me get into it when the rope isn‘t swung at full speed.

Got all 880 Moons, got the Invisibility Cap (Yay?) and the grinded up to buy the Moons you have to purchase from a store to hit 999 and....yep. This is a 3D Mario game alright with that reward.

@silentium Thanks for triggering my OCD. Getting 999 moons wasnt extra after all. Even maxed my money after that^^ Now i really feel accomplished.

Yesterday i played zelda with my new pro controller. I know the controller vibrated when i started the console but i still had to google to convince myself that the controller has rumble. Mario on the other hand rumbles all the time. I love to jump in the ocean at seaside kingdom. Feels good.

I just got to the jump rope earlier today and after trying it a couple times i wondered if you had to start double skipping the rope so i watched a video and the 2 things i read were jump when she says hey and also play in handheld so there's no input lag

@Ralizah I take the Pachinko Shine and the Lili Pad Shine over some of the Moons in Odyssey any day. The jump rope thing, the Koopa races...

GoldenGamer88

@Octane I‘d play the entirety of 64 and Sunshine over the jump rope any day of the week. When the day comes that I feel like playing Odyssey again, I‘ll leave out all the minigame moons, most of them are just annoying and un-fun.

Disappointed, there were no Haunted Mansion and Boo's in the game

Same here.

I kept expecting a ghost kingdom to appear all the way through. You'd think it'd be an obvious inclusion considering we've already gotten to play as Boo-Mario in Super Mario Galaxy, so they already have the concept and design pretty much complete. Not to mention I would have loved to see those Pumpkin-wearing Goombas again.

Hopefully we'll get either DLC or a sequel in the future.

Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

@Octane Sorry, but no. The pachinko and lily pad levels were practically broken, and so ridiculously hard that they weren't even fun to play. The jump rope thing is tricky, but it's easy to get into a rhythm, and the koopa races are some of the easier moons in the game (at least, based on the races in Metro and Mushroom Kingdoms).

I hope the end of this game and the new ARMS update with achievements is a sign of things to come. Nintendo seems to really be warming up to the idea of them now that they've found a way to make them worth something.

I beat the main story today and I must say, this game has been a joy to play. Despite being an avid Zelda fan, this was much more fun than Breath of the Wild. I am now looking to play more than just the main story I enjoyed it that much. And I usually don't complete/fully like Mario games of this sort

@Ralizah The worst part of the lily pad level was getting Yoshi over to the island. The first three red coins are impossible to miss, the fourth and the fifth are easy too. The sixth is easy to miss if you don't know when and where to steer, but that takes no more than a few tries. The seventh is the most difficult one, it requires timing a jump. The last one is on the platform. I beat Sunshine a few months ago, and I beat the level on my first try.

The pachinko machine is a bit annoying, because the mechanics seem broken if you don't know how it works, and they don't explain it either. The direction you push the left stick in during your jump determines where you end up in the machine. Moves it all the way to the right and you get flung to the other side of the pachinko machine. Move it to the left and there's hardly any force pushing you to the right, meaning you'll end up on the left side. It may take a few tries, but it's honestly not that bad.

783 Moons in.
100% in everything else (all music, all captures, all purple coins, all items costumes stickers souvenirs).

Well, I bought some double moons from the cappy store and I thought I had a glitch. I'm glad it's not a glitch, but it still seems weird that you can buy unlimited amounts of moons. That way, we can never tell who has all moons, because people can just buy them up to 999. They should have limited those.

I left the 100-jumprope and 100-volleyball challenges for later as I didn't enjoy them. I'm pushing the unfun experieces away, and tackle them last. Fortunately, these are the only 2 out of 785 moons I don't like.

I'm kinda stuck on pretty much every picture puzzle (the ones that ask you to take a screenshot, the ones with the riddles). I found a few, but the majority of them puzzles me. Was working on the one with the red sombrero koopa in the desert and the bushes. I stomped every bush in the desert. Nothing.
There's one is the Seaside stage that reads "KEEP". Can't make any use of it.

@SKTTR I'm suck on a lot of the picture puzzles as well. Looking at the color of the moon in some photos helps narrow down what kingdom you can find the moon in, but with some of them I know exactly where they should be but for some reason I can't get them. After trying some more I might just watch some videos to find out what to do.

@Octane I haven't played Sunshine much but I tried the lily pad thing once and that was enough for me. It was slow and tedious to get Yoshi all the way there and then I encountered a glitch where I clipped through wall and died. I don't remember if it was my last life or if it was due to the glitch but I think it put me back to Delfino Island. Now, on the other hand, I cleared the pachinko machine on my second try. I didn't know it was so hated until much later.

I've slowed down a bit with Odyssey now that I've finished it and I don't have to be afraid of spoilers. I'm taking my time, trying to collect everything. I have almost every moon from the first two kingdoms.

Yeesh. And I'm enjoying every single mini-game...well except picture match. I like the idea but the harder one is brutal.

@SKTTR There's an important detail in the Koopa one that I missed at first, but that's key to figuring that one out.

I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke!

@AlternateButtons ha ha talk about funny, I thought I completely failed the walking mini-game the second time, but somehow it gave me 96 points. In retrospect I should have taken a picture.

@SKTTR 880 moons to get before you start buying em to hit 999.

And the rewards are crap XD

@AlternateButtons Ahaha, I had that happen as well. Thankfully, I got 25:49 the next go (and I scraped the wall a few times each lap). Now I just need to complete that 100 jump challenge on the jumprope.

@Steel76 I think the lack of boos or any BS mansion puzzles is my favorite thing about this game. I've always hated those levels.
