Is there actually a need for a Switch specific Bioshock trailer? I've heard a few complaints about that but unless it's for performance issues you can see loads of trailers already or even watch the entire games online.
Here's the original question .... Nothing about it being only for people who have played the games before & pre-ordered. Ask those people why they want a trailer?
My apologies for that but I did expand upon it the multiple replies. Tho even then from my original comment people are aware of the game otherwise how can they complain about the lack of trailers, especially if they are following news update enough to know there’s no new trailers.
I was seeing a few people in the comment section saying how much they loved the games but are annoyed by the lack of new Switch trailers.
Ah, finally, the context that was missing .... Well, you'll have to ask those people, then? Not having read the comments in question, I certainly wasn't responding to those or have any way to know that's what you were referring to

I’ve still not heard a reason why another Switch trailer is needed over the numerous other BioShock trailers though : p
@jump
Seems like you’re taking a debate from somewhere else and arguing with a phantom about it in here. Nobody here has claimed it needs a switch specific trailer to my knowledge. So goading for an answer to why it needs a “Switch specific trailer” here seems to be derail of the month.
But for the record, it doesn’t need a different trailer, or another trailer, but it would benefit from a trailer... it could be new, old, recycled, doesn’t really make a difference, Just so long is there is a trailer to show what the game is about, and that trailer is actually shown to Switch gamers, rather than expecting people to Google search a trailer for a game they don’t care about because they were never shown a trailer to get them interested in the first place. It’s a catch 22. Yes, trailers exist. Yet nobody cares they exist because they aren’t interested in the game yet. They might be “aware it exists” but they’re also aware of 789 other games that also exist and they’re not going to google search trailers for each and every one of them. People don’t go out of their way to look up a trailer until they’re actually interested, and guess what, the best way you can get somebody interested is to, you guessed it, show them a quick trailer.
Now that you have your answer, can we talk about the game, please?

I'm not the biggest fan of first person shooters but I've been told that the Bioshock games are still great for people who aren't too into the genre. I think I'll definitely give them a go as the chatter about them over the years has been very positive.
It would be nice if they had gyro enabled to make aiming a touch easier .
It does look good. Full 1080p docked and 720p portable. 7th gen remasters always look great on Switch.
I'm bummed about the gyro but, being a more story driven, atmospheric game, I'll manage. Can always play on Steam with gyro if I really wanted. Think I'd rather have a hybrid version though.

Some games just don't offer it, for whatever reason. I suspect it may have to do with strategizing the best chance to land in the best sellers list to gain exposure. Presales spread out a month before launch lowers the overall sales for a rolling 2 week period once it releases, which are what determines placement in charts, and thus exposure.
You can preorder digital via 2k store though. Not sure if the code is given right away or emailed on launch day. I decided to wait because every dollar spent on the eShop sees 15.5% back (9% back buying eshop credit via Raise, another 1.5% back using CC for the purchase, and 5% back from Nintendo for buying digital on eShop. Purchases via 2k store would miss the 9% back buying eShop credit at Raise.

@Eel@Ralizah
Tell Bioware, 2k and Virtuos we want gyro. Not one single person has mentioned it to them besides me. It's no wonder they dont prioritize it. Doom was flooded with people asking for it.
@Ralizah
I'm hoping they do. But I fear without anyone saying anything it wont even cross their mind as being a priority to the fanbase.
I'm still getting it- I dont need gyro to enjoy this game (I enjoyed DOOM without it before it was patched) but I wont be happy about it. It angers me just thinking about it now.
But I will do my part to speak out on whatever social media I can to let them know this matters to Switch gamers, and tell them that handheld gaming --> smaller analogs --> gyro is relied upon to counter that. Give good reason and they may be inclined to listen more than to people just saying "we want this", something they may not relate to being PS/Xbox centric.
