Got sick, and, as a result, impulse bought Miitopia. Less than halfway through the first world and I've already remembered why i loved this game so much on the 3ds.
Half-decent at Ace Attorney and horrible at strategy games, but I love them both.

Just started playing Pikmin 4. Having a good time with it so far and I even completed my first underground area. Made some good progress in Mega Man Battle Network 3 and got my style change (Wood Custom style). I also played some Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete and got some more event tasks done.

Probably the most anime a game can be without actually being an anime. Character introductions are broken up into chapters. And every chapter begins by playing the attract mode CG animation every time. I can't remember another game that does that?
Here at the ten hour mark it has been an above average action rpg experience. The gear progression of collecting resources, similar to the newer Ys games, is here. It works. You can only grind gear so far until you're required to move the story forward in order to access newer resources, have shops update their offerings, etc.
It's all familiar and fine. Actually, kind of cozy if you don't get bored with the lack of challenge.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,536 games (as of December 14th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black (PS5) - In the middle of the "Russia" level (chapter 10, I think), and just finished up a mid-boss. This isn't my first experience with the game as I played through the "Sigma 2" version in the "Master Collection" a couple years ago on Switch, but it's as slick & fun as always, and it's had a fantastic glow up that makes it look thoroughly modern.
Star Wars: the Force Unleashed (Steam) - Never played this before but always wanted to, so here we are. Just arrived at the Death Star, so I think I'm getting close to the end. It's a little rough around the edges both graphically and mechanically (there's so much stuff to interact with that sometimes you'll grab the wrong thing or send it off in a completely unintended direction, and it's from the era where you're required to clear a QTE to finish off every boss & even large enemies), but it's nice to have a straightforward action game that's not trying to be really hard or anything and is just an enjoyable power fantasy rag dolling stormtroopers everywhere.
One thing that I appreciate about both games is that they're not massive 50+ plus hour slogs that try to take over your life. We need more big(ish) budget games taking this approach. Astro Bot was also refreshing in this regard.

just starated replaying Resident Evil 0 for my Gamecube last night. had to create a new save file since i got rid of my old save file a few years ago to make room for other games.
Pretty much forgot where to find the lighter fluid though. i just arrived in the training grounds/mansion and found the shotgun and the crank for that one elevator to go to that area that has the centipede boss so I guess Im getting a little closer to finding the lighter fluid for Billy's lighter?
Nintendo's strategy adding a demo to Donkey Kong Country Returns worked for me. I didn't remember how good the game was, so after playing the demo I ended up buying it and now I'm in world 6.
The bonus levels suck compared to the original trilogy, and I also miss playing as different kongs, but level design and gameplay are perfect in DKCR.
@RenanKJ I actually downloaded the demo straight away, but found it really strange that I seemed to experience massive input lag between pushing a given button and seeing the desired result? (Eg would push jump button, and there was definitely a noticeable delay in the jump being performed... same with roll)
It was genuinely quite jarring.... is the game supposed to play that way?
Before anyone asks, it is definitely not a controller issue my side... I use the HORI Split Pad Compact, and have just come from beating Nine Sols - which is absolutely dependant on precise button pushing/parry timings.
I didn't notice any input lag, I'm using the Pro Controller. I also played portable mode in bed and same results.
Could be a memory issue on your Switch or SD card. Maybe try to move the game to internal storage? Either that or DK's weight is feeling odd to you. =)
The Sims (PC) Pure nostalgia rush for me, not to mention I have been wanting to play the older Sims games for awhile now but with owning a current laptop that's impossible till now with the re-reelease. I am trying to do an honest play through no cheats and I am discovering that it's alot harder then I remember. Still I am having alot of fun with it. Plus this is the first time I get to try out all the DLC since back in the day I just had Livin Large and House Party.
World of Warcraft Anniversary Classic (PC) Yeah I am gaming like it's 2005 not 2025. I just must be in a nostalgia mode and again there's just something about classic that I am really enjoying over Retail. It's slower pace no real pressure of hitting max level just to raid, I can relax and enjoy myself. Plus it's nice to see places like Orgrimmar packed once again. To be fair I never did play WoW vanilla originally, I came in the middle of Lich King. So this is interesting for me. I also like how it seems you are just a character in a massive world and not some epic legendary hero like in the newer expansions.

Marvel Rivals on the Xbox. I just started it today and it surprises me I never played it before this point, given I enjoy hero shooter games a bunch.
I only got two matches in but dang this game is so fun. I was a bit nervous at first since the last time I played a hero shooter was in December with Overwatch 2, and as I played I got pretty bad at it and kept losing a lot, plus that game’s internet is kind of awful. I actually kind of think Rivals might be better than Overwatch! The way the heroes play and control are so fun, and I like how the game gives all the characters a difficulty level in how they play, and one issue I had with Overwatch was some characters being hard to play as and there not being any indication or way to know how hard it is to master them. Matchmaking is way more faster, probably because the game has a ton of players at the moment.
Since I only just started, I chose to play as Squirrel Girl since I love squirrels and her difficulty level is low, and dang she so fun to play as. I love how bouncy and kind of floaty she is with her Acorn Burst weapon and movements (especially her Tail Bounce move where she launches herself into the sky), not to mention her personality is super duper fun and she’s easy to play as. I played as her for two matches and won both, plus for my first match I got MVP! I still am nervous I won’t be able to play the other characters as well plus some enemy players I went up against were kinda hard to fight (namely Iron Fist) but I’ll try. Will probably play later or tomorrow, but I’ve been living under a rock for so long by not playing this game.
Recently I started playing Boxboy + Boxgirl and Axiom Verge. Those were two of the games I got from the last sale that Nintendo just had, and right off the bat I'm loving them both. I intend to play more of Pikmin 4 as well.

Metroid Prime Remastered. I get it that it was a big thing back in the days but somehow the game drags a bit and the backtracking is sometimes annoying.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Got back into familiar territory recently, haha. I wanna chip away at Happy Home Paradise especially, I made a fair amount of progress into it previously, but not as much as I probably should. I just finished another vacation home today. I wanted to get more bugs and fish for my museum, but it looks like the ones I haven't caught yet aren't available right now. I'll try the Kapp'n islands though.
Mega Man Battle Network 4 - I've finished the first three games, so playing the fourth one now. The version I'm playing is Red Sun. This one's generally regarded as the worst one in the Battle Network series, and yeah I think I can see why... I feel like this one has the weakest story since most of it is heavy on the tournaments, some parts of the game were a genuine pain to deal with, and to top it all off, you're asked to play through the game multiple times to get all the Double Souls and the best battle chips. But I will say that they at least left the gameplay untouched, and the battle system is still as good as ever. I like the introduction of the Double Souls as well, with Roll Soul being my favorite out of the ones I've gotten. A lot of the music is great too. I'll still keep plugging away at this one since I do really like the Battle Network games... but when I finish it, I'll move on to 5.

I'm jumping between Stray, Phantasy Star Online: Episode 3, and Fire Emblem: Engage.
Stray's strong point is definitely the setting. Playing as a cat in a post apocalyptic world full of robots is certainly a unique idea.
PSO Episode 3 was a game nobody asked for, but maybe we should have. Something of a card game/srpg hybrid that comes together quite well. Definitely made on the cheap, most assets and animations are pulled directly from ep 1 and 2, but I say it was a smart way to get the greenlight for a very niche genre.
Fire Emblem: Engage is great. Criticism abou the story is understandable, it's a very Saturday morning anime kinda thing, but gameplay might be the best the series has ever had.
Just beat the Zombie Dragon in Suikoden. It was a fun boss fight. Now I’m in that medium where I’m getting a handful of new party members (recruits) and leveling them up whilst my other party members are high leveled. There is a balancing issue due to this, with low leveled party members dying in one hit, but it’s manageable.
Finished the new free update for Astro Bot. This one is for those who like it more challenging. Thanks Team Asobi! Loved the cameo from one of my favourite PlayStation 2 JRPGs.
I am about to start a new adventure with Suikoden I+II HD Remaster Gate Rune & Dunan Unification Wars.
Pretty solid game tbh. I'm impressed how, much like Persona 5 Strikers and Three Hopes, the game really comes out into and feels like much more than just a Warriors game with a Zelda skin on it. I love revisiting this version of Hyrule and playing as these characters, especially seeing IMO the best iteration of Zelda herself in action.
Also pleasantly surprised by the performance. This got a lot of criticism at launch and I remember it feeling a bit jittery when I first picked up the game in 2020 - but it seems fine now? If anything, I'm kinda impressed by all the detail the Switch is managing to handle in this game. Was it patched or something?
