a few days ago i jumped headfirst into Mario Odyssey, which is slowly proving to be a delightful experience indeed šø the world feels a bit overwhelming, but im sure ill get used to it. onto the wooded kingdom i go! and i also like the amiibo features in this game.
im also playing zelda ocarina of time for the first time since i got the n64 subscription. im having fun with it the little bit ive played, im already intrigued. i can see why it was mind boggling in that era for sure. im only having a trouble with the camera controls (gen z me š¹) but im getting better at it. im excited to delve further!l and ofc a little MK8 and MPJ here and there with friends and family as usual š„³

Even though I've been busy, I still found time to play some games. Here's what I recently been playing...
Slipstream 5000 on PC, a 1995 futuristic racing game where you race aircraft. Good arcade racing fun.
Disney Speedstorm on Switch and PC, enjoying the Tron season.
Downwell on Switch and PC, one of my favorite indie games, managed to unlock a Game Boy inspired color palette too. Fun game, it's like a reverse shoot 'em up where you jump down a well shooting enemies.
Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games on Wii U, long story short, my friend took me to a hockey game and I had a good time. Then another friend reminded me Mario & Sonic had hockey. I booted it up the other night had some fun playing a quick game of hockey as Team Sonic.

Havenāt been playing on console, been playing Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! on phone. Havenāt been too active on the game compared to the past, so thereās plenty of new songs they added that I havenāt tried out. I have been playing the game with others, though itās annoying when some of the players disconnect during the match or before the match starts.
Im also probably going to be playing Donkey Kong 64 soon because of them revealing Bananza.
However, Iām going to have to emulate DK64 because I donāt have an N64 and the game STILL doesnāt have a Switch port. Iāll admit that despite enjoying Rare and their platformer games, DK64 is the only one of their four N64 platformers I havenāt played, as I wasnāt too interested in DK64. Hopefully I donāt have too much trouble playing it. I keep hearing itās like Banjo-Kazooie, except the collectathon elements are dialed up to eleven and Iāve heard people say itās good or itās a slog to get through.

If youāre curious, the character in my PFP is Flaky from Happy Tree Friends.
Iām very slowly chipping away in Xenoblade Chronicles X. Iām doing an affinity mission here, a side quest there, and some story missions interspersed between them all. Currently, I am on chapter 6.
Meanwhile, my main focus is The First Berserker Khazan. This game is absolutely brutal, and might been m toughest Soulslike on the market. Iām halfway through the game, and after pulling my hair out on a boss fight, I finally managed to beat him after 30 attempts.
Just started DK64 yesterday. Didnāt make much progress on it yet since it was early in the morning, but the intro and opening parts of the game absolutely ooze with charm and humor and Iām liking it. Though, the N64 controls and buttons are hard to get a bit used to on the emulator Iām playing it on, hopefully it doesnāt become much of an issue for me later on.
EDIT: Made some progress. While I havenāt completed Jungle Japes yet, I unlocked the coconut gun and Diddy Kong, so now have red bananas to collect, though Iām first going to try and collect all yellow bananas as DK. The coconut gun is hilariously stupid and fun to use, though the shooting is kind of off and itās slightly hard to aim. It reminds me of the shooting in Conker, though Iād argue that the gunplay there was worse.
Going to play some Arcade Archives stuff this week before starting some thing bigger I think. I was watching my Son play a bit of Crash Bandicoot 4 over the weekend and some of the vehicle-hopping sections in the later stages reminded me of Frogger so I might start with that.
I know I shouldn't have, especially since I am still working on Avowed on the Series X but I started a barbarian on Diablo III since it's now available on Gamepass. Diablo III is my favorite Diablo game and it been awhile since I played it and been wanting to again. So yeah let's go a round on Xbox now.

Been playing My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery on Switch. So far the game feels like the previous My Little Pony game, A Maretime Bay Adventure. There's new areas to explore, a new story, there's some new ideas here. For example, I can unlock other characters to play as in the story mode, and they each have a different ability. The first game was limited to Sunny.
I'm liking it so far, and just hoping it's longer than A Maretime Bay Adventure (which was rather short for a game). I do like My Little Pony so I'm happy with it.
Tagging @Anti-Matter since I know he's probably the only one who would be interested in this game.

Oh, I know that My Little Pony game.
That was the second MLP game by Outright Games.
I will get the PS5 version as possible as the game will running on 60 fps.
I found my MLP PS4 version got fps boost on PS5 (from 30 fps to 60 fps) right after I installed the game from PS4 disc on my PS5 machine.
But, we'll... I already finished the game when I installed on my PS5 as I have copied my save data of MLP PS4 version from my PS4 machine, transfered to my PS5 machine.
Btw, so far still no new kids games announced by Outright Games this year. I saw from their YouTube channel, they still bring some review or highlights of their previous games release.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, that's the game I got for my birthday the other day.
I would say get it for PS5, I like the Switch version, but it does run at 30 FPS, and even drops a bit during cutscenes. Only downsides I see to the game, so I imagine it plays better on a PS5. The game itself, I'm liking it so far.

Somehow, I managed to come unstuck with Skyward Sword on Switch before I had time to sell it. So, I'm playing that. I'm currently in the middle of the sand ship dungeon.

Hello. This is Toriel. For no particular reason... Which do you prefer? Butterscotch or Cinnamon? - Toriel
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. About 10 hours in and itās absolutely excellent, and one of the best linear driven RPGs Iāve ever played.
On the Switch Iām playing The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy. Itās so good, but surprisingly challenging. Iām shocked there are 100 different endings.
I went back to playing Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! (Mobile). I have been trying to chip away at the newer songs but also replaying some songs too. I actually got a full combo on a hard song Iāve been struggling with, so it absolutely made me happy that I hit all notes. I was trying to play yesterday but the game crashed twice, but Iām definitely going to play again. I think it was because my phone wasnāt updated, buttttt also because itās an older phoneā¦
Another game I plan on playing either later today or tomorrow is a shoot emā up called The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends Edition (Xbox). I bought it yesterday during the Spring Sale, and this one does have a Switch port, I should add. A fun fact about this game is that itās a version of a game called The Crackpet Show and based on an animated show called Happy Tree Friends, and while I havenāt watched it mainly because of how Iām not too much of a fan of stuff that has violence as its main selling point, I was interested in the characters and art style, hence why I bought the game, plus it sounded like from the game description that the game takes place on a game show and that was interesting to hear. I have played shoot emā ups like Enter the Gungeon, so I am curious about how this game will play.

@Pastellioli Nice! Which song/difficulty did you FC?
@BenAV I FCāed a song called Sage on Expert difficulty. The song is apart of this small collaboration the game did with another rhythm game called Gekichumai, and songs from there have intentionally hard charts and are hard to FC.
Sageās difficulty level on Expert (the difficulty I play on) is 29, which is one of the higher and most hardest levels to play on. I usually struggle with songs that are level 29 or higher, but I played that song a lot and I almost always got close to FCāing it, but I always messed up near the end with these small notes that were placed in a stair-like pattern, but this time I luckily got it!
@Pastellioli Good job. I've played Sage on Expert a fair bit due to it being one of the popular tiering songs but that ending bit still trips me up more often than not as well. Level 29 is where most songs typically get a bit fast for my poor thumbs as well haha. I'll give them a crack if I'm not too tired but I've only managed FC on Sage Expert and three songs on Master so far.
I agree! It was only really the ending notes on that song that made it hard for me to FC it. I struggle the most with charts that place notes in stair patterns. There is another song called The Bubble Future, which is an easier song, but I canāt FC it because it throws in a bunch of stair pattern notes at the end. It annoyed me a bit when i couldnāt get FC on that one, mainly because itās an easy song.
When it comes to Expert difficulty, I like to play songs that are level 26-27. Itās when it gets to level 28 and higher that I usually struggle when playing. I have FCād some level 28 songs, but itās so hard to continuously get FCās on them, like Invisible, Haikei DoppelgƤnger, and AMARA (The Great Intelligence). Itās so hard to keep up with the notes on those three songs, but I find Haikei DoppelgƤnger was easier compared to the other two.
Master difficulty is super hard for me. I do like playing it a bit. but the charts really mess me up a lot and itās so hard to keep up with whatās going on the screen, and usually I find my timing gets thrown off if I play Master for too long. Iāve still been trying to FC the Master chart for ENVY BABY but I get so thrown off by the long tap notes a lot. Though, I really like some of the chart gimmicks on Master charts, especially Kyoufuu All Back, especially since the chart gimmicks and images on the chart reference the music video for the song.
@Pastellioli I think I can picture the part you're talking about in The Bubble Future haha. I've got FC in all the level 25 songs, think by far the hardest one for me was Rin-Chan Now!
I've got a few Expert 28 FCs but not those three yet funnily enough. kitty was my first level 28 FC.
I've also done M@GICALāCURE! LOVE ā„ļø SHOT! which I don't understand why it's 28 as it feels way easier to me and Brain Fluid Explosion Girl.
I don't have FC on Envy Baby on Master yet either. I feel like it'll be doable if I'm in the zone when I play it but it's certainly not the easiest 28.
