@Mariotag I mostly game at home as well, though the Switch has made gaming slightly easier to fit in elsewhere. I often drive most places since public transportation is fleeting where I live, plus my job is one where there's always something to do.

Glad I'm not the only one whose brain has changed how I process words. I used to attribute some of the issue to brain fog, but I'm not sure that's the case anymore. I think a lot of it is how I'm wired, what I read these days, and the time (or lack of) to do it.

You've hit on another reason why I'm careful about playing some mobile titles: a lot of their services are eventually taken offline. It's why I prefer to buy/own games, mobile and otherwise, outright. Or at least have alternative solutions where I won't completely lose my hard work (Eg. Pokemon Home transfers from Pokemon Go).

You're adding onto my reluctance to invest any time into Crunchyroll lol. More stories to add to the fire I suppose....

@Zuljaras - I'm late, but I LOVE that T2 Paladin armor display! Great job! That hit me in the nostalgia a little lol. I swore off MMOs some time ago, but I played WoW during most of WotLK and revisited it (free to level 20) on weekends during Warlords of Draenor.

@Sunsy I've started typing long replies into Microsoft OneNote on my phone most of the time. The problem is it saves inconsistently, so I occasionally either lose text or some edits to typos.

Tomato sauces don't last too long once opened, do they? I've found I need to use up leftover pasta sauce in roughly two weeks max, otherwise it gets moldy even if refrigerated. I might make spaghetti this week and use a jar then. Been awhile since I've had it.

@MarioVillager92 Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. I need to update my profile pic too. Hopefully very soon. I recommend that you check out Hocus Pocus when you get the chance. I do plan to rewatch The Nightmare Before Christmas soon! The Polar Express is antique great movie and is worthy of being called a classic IMO.

I'm still doing some side stuff in Echoes of Wisdom before heading to the final dungeon. I finally found all the Might crystals and Heart Pieces. Same with stamps and many mini games. I just need to wrap up the Dream Dojo, then I should be set. As for FDC, I finished The Missing Heir and am now working on The Girl Who Stands Behind. Glad you're almost done with Brothership; I'm hoping to pick that one up sometime next year. Yes to MMBN Collection! Not that I'm biased lol. The first Battle Network is rough but still worth playing IMO.

Yeah... definitely work your way up to zip lining if you ever want to try it. Think of it like a suspended rollercoaster with secure harness material instead of a car.

@Pastellioli Thanks, my Thanksgiving was good. Sort of busy earlier in the day, but that's normal. Christmas is tied with Halloween as my favorite holiday.

I actually think I caught a glimpse of your drawing in the BL Artist thread! I don't comment in there often but do check it sometimes. I love your use of colors. Scene recreation can be hard, but worth it sometimes. The important thing is to try, even if we do fail. And what looks like failure to us may look awesome to someone else. It's all about perspective. Props on trying to recreate a piece like the Mona Lisa.

To my knowledge, there aren't any car wash waiting areas like that around here. I think it highly varies on where one is from and what a business is willing to support.

Tastes and interests change over time, so it's not surprising that your interest in games has changed too. For example, I like simulation games but just don't really have the time to sink into them when there's plenty of other stuff to play lol. Other genres I've had to step back from completely, like MMOs. Shooters have never been my thing. It helps that more of them try to distinguish themselves these days, but for the most part I prefer fantasy settings without guns (or at least extensive use of them).

It sounds like Crunchyroll has similar issues to the YouTube app on mobile. The ads didn't used to be bad at all, and I know there are still easy ways to circumvent them...on PC. But I much prefer YT on mobile since I can haul my phone around easier when doing chores and eating. I don't want to completely block them either since there are channels I wanna support through ad revenue, but YT/Google make this very hard to deal with these days. I miss when YT was ad-free and not owned by a huge sketchy mega corp.

@Tyranexx Yeah, I carry this bag with me everywhere, switch included. Unfortunately, I can't drive, and there is no public transportation here.
Yeah, I have no idea why those reading issues happened.
Crunchyroll has kinda bothered me for a while. I sometimes use it, but not often.
I completely agree with you on owning games. I hate the live service model, and the subscription model. One solace is that fans will generally find a way to preserve what they can though.
Found all might crystals? I had to ask help with iirc, 3 heart pieces, two sidequests, and two echoes.
I never did finish the Dream Dojo 100% though.
I actually finished Broship last night. Precisely one month after getting it.
Ads have gotten overly frustrating.

@Tyranexx Christmas is my most favorite holiday of the year alongside Thanksgiving. I love both a ton!

Thanks, I am a mega big fan of stuff that is colorful and I love drawing it, though I don’t think it was until earlier this year that I started to use a ton of colors in my drawing. Usually my artwork wasn’t colored that way and I used natural colors instead. The Mona Lisa was so hard to recreate a ton of times, but I will say, that even though I failed a lot of my attempts, it was fun trying to color with more details and stuff. It’s still fun for me to try out new stuff I haven’t done before in drawing, because there is a bunch, a whole bunch of stuff I haven’t tried out yet. Whenever I draw video game characters in my style, I usually like changing their designs up a bit and adding my own details and touches to them, while also making sure they still resemble their original designs. It’s what I have fun the most when drawing characters.

Probably, maybe that car wash I remembered maybe had more financial support that allowed them to have a gaming and waiting area. It was nice, but it’s sad that those types of fun waiting areas aren’t that common anymore. I saw them way more the last decade.

Yeah, plus other stuff like my music tastes and what I like drawing have changed a bunch over time alongside the games I genres I like playing. I think alongside my favorite game genre changing to platformers, I also started to draw animals more instead of stuff like humans and still objects, probably because I liked Rare’s animal protagonists in their platformers and found them charming. Over the years, it’s crazy to see how much my interests have changed! I used to pretty much play shooter games a ton and only that and always liked drawing human characters more than animals. Usually, when it comes to the appearance of a game or the setting, I like fantasy settings that have mystical creatures and anthropomorphic animals, and I like it when the visuals are bright and colorful or cartoony.

The ads just ruin Crunchyroll and YouTube. Crunchyroll is just so much worse with ads compared to YouTube though; it takes so long for an episode of an anime to start and for the anime to resume after an ad break. I also like watching YouTube on phone, but the ads are not good. I do feel like YouTube has kinda gotten worse. One example is them hiding dislike counts and only showing like counts publicly, which makes it hard to tell whether or not a video is good or not. I have no idea why they did that, but it most certainly doesn’t help when trying to find a good video to watch sometimes.

@Mana_Knight Just accepted your friend request! Sorry if I took a while to accept, haven’t booted up the Switch in a while.

@Anti-Matter I can imagine how well the PS5 runs. Haven’t played it, but I have seen my dad use his and the performance and UI look super smooth and clean!

I know about The Sims but I’ll admit I’ve never played any of the games. I think that it is cool that you can choose what your Sims will do, and deciding what paths they should take. I haven’t really played any games that are also about building or have any building aspects to them. The only game I can think of that did have similar building aspects to them was Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts on the Xbox, though that was more about vehicle construction and I sucked at it a bunch. What else do you like about The Sims a ton besides the building aspects and choosing what route your Sims can take?

@Mariotag It’s so strange that they would take that route of killing of a core character to the books instead of just sticking to the source material. One thing people don’t like about some film adaptations of books is how they sometimes differ from the source material a lot and add changes that ruin the film’s story or characters, and I do feel like that happens constantly with some movies.

I am hoping for data transfer too, as well as having Switch accounts transfer too with games. It is great that they confirmed that the next console will allow previous Switch software to be playable, but hopefully they allow all software to be playable. It would be a shame if some old games just stayed stuck on old hardware.

I am pretty excited to see what they will do for Book 9 since you told me they have gone over almost all the Norse realms. I do hope it isn’t the end of FEH when Book 9 finishes next year.

I think I kind of got interested in the way some people played Smash when I was on a Smash craze back in 2022. While I was playing Ultimate and gradually building up the spirit collection, I watched a few YouTube clips from competitive tournaments and I thought the way some people played it was cool with all those fighting techniques and how they would fight with rules like not using items or Final Smashes. I did try to take some of the play styles some people had in those videos, but I wouldn’t call myself a competitive player; I’m still very casual when playing and I play as pretty easy to use but sometimes annoying characters. I think I lost interest in competitive Smash once I stopped playing the game for a bit, but I heard more about the competitive scene later that year after what happened between Nintendo and The Big House and the aftermath of that when I read an article on NL as a guest user.

I just enjoy hearing about speedrunning a lot. So many skilled and talented people playing their favorite games and trying to show how fast it takes to complete them. I haven’t watched full speedruns, but I watched a few channels and videos on them and they were so fun. I usually watched Mario 64 speedrun videos while I did other hobbies or when I was bored. Really interesting stuff. I have a lot of respect for the people who play through games like that.

Yeah, Rare’s official socials do this Fanart Friday thing where they highlight two pieces of fanart and credit the artists and talk about the drawings a bit. I don’t know how long Rare has done Fanart Fridays, but the first time I saw them do it was back in 2021 on their Twitter/X account. It’s cool that they enjoy fan creations a lot. I’ve seen a ton of amazing artwork of Rare characters that way.

@Pastellioli
The Sims games have Expansion Packs that give you additional different gameplay.
For example, In The Sims 4, if you have Island Living, you can become Mermaid. you can ride jet ski, you can build your house near of the beach water.
If you have Seasons expansion pack, you will experience with 4 different seasons that not only affect your activities but also the weather, the festival events, etc.
If you have Pets expansion pack, you can have cat / dog, you can build vet clinic, you can intereact with cat / dogs.
If you have Cottage Living expansion pack, you can pet farm animals, you can grow your farming plants like Harvest Moon games.
If you have Dine Out game pack, you can make your own restaurant and run your restaurant management.
My favorite Expansion Pack so far are Seasons, Snowy Escape, Get to Work, Get Famous, Cottage Living.
Also, I like to create a lot of six pack male characters in The Sims 4, the reason I like The Sims games.
And my The Sims gameplay experience also being carried when I played ACNH.
My island on ACNH is beautiful, my villagers houses (exterior and interior) are beautiful, my villagers wear nice outfits, my house is really great.
If Animal Crossing have gameplay like The Sims which you need to eat when you're hungry, you need to sleep when you're tired, you need to go to toilet when you want to pee, it will looks very cute and interesting, also it makes the furnitures have their function, not just only display purpose.

@Anti-Matter Wow, that’s a lot of content for the game! That sounds super cool and I definitely am getting some Animal Crossing vibes from some of the features described in it. It seems to have more real life elements in it compared to Animal Crossing and I do think that’s interesting, especially some of the parts you described like the Sims actually getting hungry and needing to eat or having to go to bed when they feel tired. The DLC packs sound like they add a lot more fun to the game, though I didn’t know about being able to become a mermaid in the game with a DLC pack. I didn’t really know much about the DLC packs in the games, so thank you for sharing

@Pastellioli I'll need to check that out with Rare.
Also, mermaids? I wanna see!
Dunno that I'll ever get into speedrunning, but have played kaizos before.
Yeah, the smash scene I joined wasn't really high level, but it was still competitive. Unfortunately, it's pretty much ended anywhere even remotely nearby, and the person I wanted to win against most has effectively retired. I never really looked up videos or anything, and even still use tap jump.
For switch 2, full backward compatibility is a big deal. I'd be quite upset if it were only downloadable games for example.
I'm hoping book 9 isn't the end. I don't think they've explored all the realms. I don't actually know Norse mythology. But by my count, mortal world, world of the dead, dreams, gods, Yggdrasil, and now uh, another world of the gods? Could swear I thought it was more.
And yeah! Books into movies, or even source material into anime gives me that pet peeve often! I was just watching a video on how the Toaru series might not get anything but cancellations for its 20th anniversary, both because of stupid decisions by Square Enix, and because they butchered season 3 of Index so badly, it became a flop. Cutting out so much content that an arc is basically nonsensical is truly a frustrating thing. As far as Percy Jackson goes, the sins of the movies do not end with what I'd already mentioned. Plus, there was actually a tease for a third movie at the end of the second...

@Pastellioli Speedruns are always entertaining to watch. The amount of practice and timing that goes into pulling them off is insane. I've seen speedruns of other Sonic games, various classic FPS games, like Doom and Quake. Beating Zelda under a time limit of Smash's Masterpieces feature is crazy. I remember Sonic Gems Collection had a similar feature where you can play Sonic classics within a time limit. You had to beat an end boss and the game started you there, so I'd always lose on purpose to see if it's the full game, lol.

Yeah, it still makes me wonder how it would have been received if the fixes were present at launch. By the time the update came out, everyone making fun of Sonic Boom moved on. Indeed, I believe it did get a Japanese release too, under the name of "Sonic Toon." Surprisingly, it did get a Japanese release, and IIRC, I remember people saying it was better (my guess, it had the fixes before the US version did).

I keep hearing TimeSplitters was good, thing is I never played them. I think at the time I first heard about them, I was playing most FPS games on PC, this was during the GameCube days. Yikes, that does sound rough. I'm surprised I still haven't heard of it given I watch Microsoft's presentations for PC stuff.

Wow, I had no idea about Diddy Kong Racing originally going to be an RTS. I haven't looked too much at the history of it, I do remember looking into some of the unused tracks at some point. Hopefully it get's rereleased. It does make me happy some of the Rare stuff has been rereleased. Even on Wii U, I have Donkey Kong 64.

Indeed, also watched Christmas Vacation last night. Tonight is going to be my weekly episode of WWE Smackdown (yes, I watch wrestling), tomorrow should be another Christmas movie. I like watching Christmas movies, so I always watch them around this time of year. I have a bunch of them to get through so trying to do one on most days of the week. Last movies I watched that weren't Christmas related was Inside Out 2 and Wish. I'm planning to see Sonic 3 with a friend. We saw both Sonic movies and Knuckles together, so we're looking forward to finally seeing it together.

It just has to be, always trying to make content to please other people, having to worry about what if people don't like it, having to worry about the algorithm YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc has in place, the toxic people who comment. I can't imagine it's not stressful. Posting art whenever you feel like is a better way of doing it, if people like it, they'll always show up. It's always amazing when official accounts take not of art, and even better when they decide to showcase it. Yeah, having a phone in one hand makes recording difficult. I had to prop up my phone to record something... I used 3 DS cases and tape, lol. I don't have the gear to make videos, so I just don't do it. Though I did try, so there is that at least.

@Mariotag Oh wow, I forgot all about the DS version having a track editor, lol.

It can be, even scarier with the 502 error. Imagine typing a lot only to have it have a 50/50 chance of disappearing. I just learned to use Notepad. I usually stay logged into Nintendo Life, but there are times when I do get logged out (usually hinted by the fact that night mode is off).

That would be awesome if they all got their own games.

Try not to worry about it, sometimes on my own personal Instagram, I lose followers too. Life does go on and I can still use the site to post stuff or look at what I'm following.

@Anti-Matter Wicked is everywhere. I'm probably going to wait for it to show up on Peacock (it's a Universal movie, they usually show up there). Budget reasons is why I can't really go see a movie at the moment, between Christmas shopping and buying myself new Trolls shirts (got some good sales). Next movie I'm seeing should be Sonic 3 with my friend.

Will admit, all this Wicked talk made me watch The Wizard of Oz, and Legends of Oz: Dorthy's Return.

@Tyranexx The fate of autosaving. Ever since getting 502 errors, I just use Notepad to copy and paste my post in so I don't lose it. Makes me paranoid, in a "I might lose this" kind of way since I don't know if it went through. Seems to happen whenever I take time to reply to a long post, while shorter posts go through without issue.

Yeah, it just doesn't last, my mom recommends I use it within three days of opening. Going by what my mom told me. So I got use out of it for some pizzas and pasta. Enjoy, Italian food is always good.

@Sunsy Nice! When are you planning to see Sonic 3? There's a possibility me and my bro might see it a day before the official launch, cause theaters are apparently screening on the 19th too.

Yea, I was interested in DKR DS at some point. I dunno if there was online play or not though.
I'd have loved seeing the characters get their own games. Timber was sorta robbed twice over tbh.
Yea, I'm more someone who's on these places to keep up with friends, hang out and chat, as well as see nice art and projects. Still a little demoralizing to see 10 followers go away when, after years, I just reached 130. Like, how did I get that high? I did post some game recordings and screenshots too, but because of controversy, I haven't done it in a while.
I've never actually had the 502 error before. Wonder what's different for you?

Mariotag

Sunsy

@Mariotag Hopefully close to release, but I'll take whenever my friend and I can. It's a regular release, so it will be in theaters for awhile. Sounds like a nice plan. Early releases are usually nice to go to.

It did have online play over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, I actually remember playing a few races back when the service was active. Getting a lot of followers is usually surprising. I remember the official Trolls account showed off a Trolls drawing I posted (they use to do a thing called Trolls Art Tuesday, a fan art showcase), next thing I know, I had followers.

Don't know. Safe to assume if I just sit at a page typing, the 502 error happens. This is a short post, so most likely it will go through 1, 2, 3. When I type a long reply, I'm sitting on the page for a bit, and that's when the error usually happens. That's only my guess.

@Sunsy Yeah, speedruns are one of the most interesting things ever, especially ones that have special rules in place, like trying to complete a game in maybe 10 mins, since usually speedruns don’t have time limits. Usually, when people do attempt speedruns under time limits, they have to find any bugs or glitches that they can use that will speed the playthrough up since it would be really hard to finish the game under such a small time limit. It’s so cool what people do with speedruns and the stuff that they discover about the game. I remember that I would sometimes look up the fastest recorded speedruns for some games on this site that had a leaderboard and it was cool. I usually used it to look at N64 games and who completes the game in the fasted time possible.

That’s interesting, so it seems like Japan liked the WiiU Sonic Boom game more. Yes, I would guess that it could have been the game being more polished and fixed. Maybe the game was released in Japan a bit later and it gave them some time to remove bugs that ruined the game’s performance.

Former Rare employees have made a lot of well-known games. I hear TimeSplitters is super good and similar to Rare’s other shooter games GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, but I haven’t played them and I don’t know if I’ll buy them. I recall hearing that Free Radical Design was initially shut down and then revived so that they could develop a fourth game, but their parent company Embracer Group planned to shut the company down unless a third-party company came in to purchase Free Radical, but no one did, so the studio was closed down and the fourth game didn’t happen. I didn’t know much about Free Radical, but it stinks that they had the rug pulled from under their feet. I heard so many people wanting a new TimeSplitters game too, so that sucks a bunch. Everwild looks so cool, but they haven’t provided updates on it in a while. The development on that game sounds rough and I even think it was reported that Rare didn’t know what Everwild was becoming or what direction to take it in before they rebooted it.

It is interesting that a lot of Rare’s iconic games were completely different during development and could have turned out differently. I believe that the original RTS game was then changed to a completely original racer game before they included Diddy Kong in it and added more cartoony elements and characters to it. I do hope it gets released on NSO, given that game hasn’t been re-released because of licensing issues. Before the eShop closed, I actually was considering buying DK64 but I didn’t.

Going back to development stories on games, I think that Banjo-Kazooie’s development story is also interesting, since it was originally not a platformer, and it was developed for the SNES before being moved to the N64 and was supposed to feature a human protagonist, and pirates were prominent in that one, and if I recall, Banjo was supposed to appear in the original version, but was not the protagonist. I enjoy hearing about the stories behind the making of my favorite games and some of the concepts they had for it, and I especially love hearing about Rare’s cancelled games and development stories.

I see, I saw Wish back in May but I haven’t seen Inside Out 2 yet despite how popular it was and the many reels I saw on Instagram for it. I have also seen all Sonic movies released before 3, but I don’t remember much about 1 compared to 2, and I haven’t seen the Knuckles show but watched a review of it. I saw the second movie in theatres near its release and it was awesome, and I absolutely enjoyed being in the theater with other people and hearing people’s reactions. I remembers a few kids being amazed at a few scenes in Sonic 2. I am also going to see 3 in theaters, though not on opening day unfortunately but I am glad it’s almost here. I’ll have to stay off of social media before I see it so I can avoid spoilers. I hope you enjoy 3 when it releases!

I enjoy posting without a schedule and stuff, I think if I did have a schedule in place for when I would post stuff, I’d be stressful, especially trying to get an artwork done for social media before a posting date. I tried doing that once but I often stayed up late trying to finish artwork, but often it didn’t work and I either got sleepy or didn’t finish the drawing in time, because I usually take a while to finish pictures so I stopped doing that. Usually, when I tried to record videos on my phone, I tried it put the phone laying down on top of these art supply organizers I had on my desk, but the camera was bad quality and wasn’t clear enough to see. There was one time in the past one of my siblings recorded a speedpaint of me drawing a picture, but the camera was poor quality and shaky since we during use anything to hold it prop up the phone, and having to hold the camera up while someone is drawing is very hard and tiring.

Another reason why I don’t record reels or art videos is because of the lighting, since usually images and reels with white or clear lighting is preferable and clean, but because I’m always busy in the morning, I can’t record or post images, so I only post later in the day in either the afternoon or night, but that’s when the lighting is darker, so I always have to resort to using a yellow light desk lamp. Though, yellow lighting ruins my artwork a bit by making the colors in my drawings look warmer and different. There are a few pictures I took that have clearer lighting, but sometimes the yellow lighting is far more visible and prominent in others.

@Pastellioli It's like a dedicated art, you have to find ways to make it through the game quickly by any means necessary, which leads to glitches I didn't even know existing getting discovered and pointed out. Super Mario Bros ones impress me too, there's so many tricks I didn't even know about like clipping into a wall just to get through it. I think I've seen similar speedrun leaderboards, I'll sometimes peek at them to confirm what the world record is when someone says they have the world record or previous world record.

Yeah, I remember when the Japan one released people were just saying how much was improved for that release. Indeed, not to mention more work had to be done to translate the story and cutscenes, which I remember people were saying were better than the US cutscenes.

Shame really, I wouldn't mind a new TimeSplitters or a re-release. I never played it so I wouldn't mind there being a re-release (on second thought, why not give lesser known games a second chance, I always see people wanting popular games remade, but others usually go ignored). I'd play it just to experience a TimeSplitters game.

Indeed. Though I do recall seeing somewhere Diddy Kong Racing was originally going to be Pro-Am 64, but never the RTS story. The Banjo one featuring a human protagonist is definitely new to me. Now that I think about it, were there any Rare games with human protagonists? The only ones coming to mind is Perfect Dark and Grabbed by the Ghoulies.

Inside Out 2 was really good, saw it in theaters with my friend (who loves hockey, so he loved that Riley was into hockey and the movie had hockey scenes). Cool, the theater reaction is always the best part of watching movies in the theater. I saw Sonic 1 and 2 close to their release, and loved them both. Knuckles was at my friend's place. We ordered some pizza and watched all six episodes. Avoiding spoilers is going to be hard since I do check my Instagram account regularly.

That's another good thing about not having a date to finish doing art, it makes it less stressful. For me, it's more of a hobby, so I don't have to worry about having art or posts done by a certain day. Most I do is make special drawings for holidays, usually I get those done well ahead of the day, and I don't have to worry about posting it until the day comes. Yeah, it makes recording hard when you don't have the right equipment. Since I saw some shorts on YouTube of other Trolls fans opening Trolls Mineez (they're collectable figures based off the Trolls movies, come in blind bags), I wanted to try some myself. I propped up my camera with tape and three DS cases, and recorded it. It wasn't easy to do since I needed to make sure the lighting was good, and no sound was in the background. I did share my opening on YouTube with other Trolls fans and collectors, beyond that, I don't see myself doing it regularly. Not to mention, I just like collecting Trolls Mineez in general, and I have a huge collection of them collecting them within the past year. It was fun to try and experiment with.

Yeah, lighting is not good with me too. I usually have to use my window when taking pics of art I draw. When I recorded that Trolls Mineez opening video, I used my phone's light, which was not easy to set up with a light already on (since it's automatic).

Live service and subscription models have for the most part hindered gaming IMO. Though I don't think Gamepass was terrible until more recently. From what I've heard anyway. Unfortunately, companies love it for obvious reasons. And many people are gullible enough to pay into them.

I found most stuff in EoW by myself, but I did have to consult a guide for 2 echoes, a few Heart Pieces, and the last 5 Might crystals I didn't have.

@Pastellioli I like art with a lot of vibrant colors! I don't mind muted tones and the occasional black/white/gray and sepia looks either, but color variety is king in my book. There are a ton of drawing techniques out there, and I don't think there's really any wrong way to go about it IMO. Experimenting is a great thing, especially when it comes to creativity. Then we might discover something about ourselves we didn't know about before.

People and interests are allowed to change. There is nothing wrong with that lol. That's one way we grow over our lives. Mentally and intellectually I mean. I've loved animals my entire life, though I grew into my preference for fantasy settings on my own. I do enjoy modern and some steampunk settings depending on the portrayal though. As for games, I've always liked platformers. The Pokemon and older Harry Potter games are what got me into turn based RPGs. I attribute my love of action/adventure games to the Zelda series and Okami. Not sure how I got into puzzle games, though I've generally always liked finding patterns and solutions in things in my environment. Same with problem solving.

Crunchyroll seems like it's worse with ads than I originally thought. The YT ads were particularly bad before the US election for me. Sorry, but I don't have any sympathy for poliicial money begging and don't donate to political causes for various reasons. Especially when said beggars often earn more than I and many others do in a given year. YT ads are usually before and after videos for me, and sometimes dispersed into longer ones too. I kind of understand why dislike counts were hidden since those features can be abused. I can see your reasoning too though. Unfortunately, people abusing tools is why we can't often have full reasonable use of them.

@Zuljaras For sure! I don't really like the direction they took the game after Warlords since I feel like Blizzard is using the whole "Time travel back to this event with changes" tired trope badly, especially after reading what happened in Shadowlands. But I have been tempted to jump into WoW Classic. I was heavily into the Warcraft universe's lore until Mists of Pandaria, mainly because I became very busy IRL after that point. That's primarily why I played: I loved the world's lore and storytelling. I've never been really into the PVP and Guild aspects. I don't have the time or sanity to invest into a serious raid guild anyway lol.

Still, maybe if I figure out how to quit adding to my game backlog, I might revisit the game someday.

@Sunsy If I do type these out on PC, I typically use Notepad++ lol. Which I prefer typing on PC, but I have my phone on me a lot more than my personal machine (and I don't use my work machine for personal stuff besides ordering food). I've had the site swallow the occasional post. Errors 500 and above are server side errors and there's nothing we can do when they happen sadly.

I love most Italian food more than I possibly care to admit lol. Especially pizza, some pastas, and calzones.

Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
