Having a good afternoon. Lunch was very delicious; fried chicken, buttered bread and zucchini fries! Got full pretty fast.
I am trying Perfect Dark Zero in the meantime and it isn’t bad so far like what others have been saying, though I had to change the control scheme because the one the game had when I started it was really terrible and almost unplayable. Still going to attempt to play Nuts and Bolts successfully though. I have those two games that I’m going to attempt completing in July.
Wow, I actually completed the Inside Out Golden Pass in Disney Speedstorm, all 50 tiers of it. Progressed through that pass much better than the time I tried a battle pass with Paladins. Hoping to see the new movie early next month.
@Pastellioli Cool! I saw both movies in theaters. It's always worth the trip for reactions, I still remember when Tails was first revealed at the end of the first movie. I haven't seen much of Sonic Underground, but I have watched The Adventures of Sonic. I have fond memories watching that one, and SatAM. Sonic Boom is a great show, I was very late to it due to not having cable, so I watched it on DVD. Most of my Sonic Boom experience were the games on Wii U and 3DS, I feel like one of the few who liked the Wii U game despite its problems. I can't wait for Sonic 3, especially since my friend and I saw the first two in theaters.
Nice, I actually have played the Xbox version. Borrowed it from a friend when my brother had an Xbox, and played some of it during my time with the game. I didn't dislike the game, if anything, it did put me in the mood to play other Rare games at the time too, which in turn actually led me to getting Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge on GBA. At the time, it made me miss the style of games Rare made with their platformers, so to me, I had some fun playing Conker: Live and Reloaded's single player remake.
I hope it does get a re-release on NSO, only because there's no official way of getting the game now, unless you buy a used copy. I have Diddy Kong Racing on DS as well, but that actually had some changes. Now it makes me wonder how the game would be treated because of Conker. Conker was removed from the remake, but I always thought it was a Microsoft thing more than a "mature" character. Remember Conker wasn't "mature" when Diddy Kong Racing was new.
@Sunsy I do love both the original and it’s remake a lot, though I think what made people hate it was it being more censored. I also think what had to do with the hatred toward the remake was the fact that it was supposed to be fully uncensored initially and adding in new scenes and material, which was the original entire selling point of it, but Rare was forced to censor it, though the censoring is only used for the language and some suggestive material in the game. The original did have some censorship, but it was only used f-words. It didn’t bother me really, since I found the censoring to be very minor, plus I had the N64 version. I do think the original does some things better than the remake (like having their characters look more expressive and lively as well as having a more cartoony look that fits its tone and characters far more) but I think the remake is more playable with its controls. I think one of the most important aspects of a game is if it controls well, and if it doesn’t I’ll likely have a bad time with it or might even drop it, and Bad Fur Day is so hard to get back to with how janky it is. However, I still love both versions a ton and feel that they, as well as the Banjo games, were super unique, and I think it’s hard to find newer platformers from other companies that replicate the same feelings those games gave off. I am sad that Rare is never going to go back to making platformers, given the developers of those games have left since then and the company has said they don’t want to revisit their old IPs.
There was a now offline multiplayer mode that I think I would have had a blast with had I played Rare’s games earlier. Since it was offline, I honestly didn’t have much fun with the multiplayer in Live and Reloaded, since me and the squirrel army I played on always kept losing to the teddy bear army. They always seemed to be overpowered or better for some reason no matter how hard I tried, and when I played on the teddy bears, they literally kept winning, and I was playing on the easiest difficulty they had. There is a system link that still works for the multiplayer, but I don’t know anyone nearby that owns the game or has an Xbox besides my brother, but he isn’t interested in playing Rare’s games unlike me.
Conker’s removal from the DS remake of Diddy Kong Racing was actually more of a Microsoft thing and had to do with rights, so you are right about that. I am sure if he was still included in there, his appearance would have likely not have been based on his “mature” persona in Bad Fur Day. I really do hope an official release of DKR does happen since Microsoft is allowing Rare’s games and characters to appear on Nintendo consoles more now. I think the game would control better if I was using an actual controller instead of my phone screen.
Has anyone eaten fried chicken with condiments other than barbecue or ketchup? A song I listened to convinced me to eat fried chicken with mayo and I remembered that my stomach hurt shortly afterward. I sort of liked the taste at first but now that I think about it, mayo with fried chicken sounds disgusting.
@Eel I haven’t tried most of those besides ranch. I can’t imagine how delicious those would taste! I almost never eat fried chicken without barbecue. The mayo I ate with the chicken that one time really made my stomach hurt afterward, though I think I was also trying to combine it with other sauces for some reason. I also think lemon and vegemite are eaten with fried chicken.
I don’t mind it with plain mayo (that’s all KFC uses on their basic chicken sandwich), but it’s definitely one of those things that’s better in small quantities.
Mixing it with sour cream or ketchup makes it better for dipping.
@Eel Mayo sure is. I am pretty bad with measuring sauces in the right quantities or serving size, since I want to eat every piece of fried chicken with sauce and because it enhances the taste of chicken. If I recall, I mixed a ton of mayo with either sriracha or some similar spicy sauce. Sriracha would probably make my stomach ache less with the fried chicken if I did eat it alone without mayo.
@Pastellioli That's good to hear. Oh gotcha, yeah I wouldn't know what the lyrics in Japanese songs until I look up the English translations, lol. I also prefer anything that's more upbeat, and not anything too heavy or sad. I'm kind of like that with YouTube videos actually. I don't like YouTubers who would sound overly angry/whiny and do strong language every 2-5 minutes or so. And don't even get me started on the comment sections over there... those tend to be terrible at least 99% of the time.
@Sunsy Nice, I read your post detailing your experience at the Trolls event. Did you get to dance at the dance party that Poppy threw? I definitely would've went down the slide you mentioned as well. When it comes to playgrounds, slides were my favorite part when I was a little boy.
It does sound like it's a pretty good children's show. Glad I still have that Cinderella tape, it's still in tip-top condition as well. I'll be keeping it as a keepsake. I could put it on, but I'm kind of afraid of it being potentially caught up in my VCR, lol. (Plus I'm too lazy to get my VCR out of storage, lol.) I have a VHS of Snow White as well. Nice, that's cool. Similarly, I do have a DVD only copy of The Aristocats. I got that before I had a way to play blu-rays.
Lol, I did see Mulan on one of NL's news articles as well. Looks like early July is coming in a couple days so you'll get your chance pretty soon. Enjoy Inside Out 2 when you see it!
Haha, that's pretty cool you got that cheater achievement. I know a similar cheat code for The Sims, you'd type "rosebud" and you'd get an infinite amount of money to get stuff for your house. My dad used to play that a lot on his PC way back in the day.
Yeah... it is cool that you're given access to all these games at once, but it'd still be great if you could keep your favorites or something. I guess we'll see what they wanna do.
Me too, really glad that Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 made it to the GameCube so I could play them. Still have my GameCube copies of those games from way back when. I've not played Chu Chu Rocket and I don't think I've played too much of Crazy Taxi. On a side note, I think it was smart of Sega that they put Sonic Adventure 2 on the GameCube first, before making SADX. Since SA2 came out on the same year that the Dreamcast was discontinued. Kinda like how Mario Kart 8 made it from the Wii U to the Switch. I actually had no clue that SA2 was originally a Dreamcast game when I was a kid, I thought it was originally made for the GameCube, lol.
@WaveBoy I'm 32 years old now, so I'm also in my 30s, lol. The SNES was the first console I've played, and I also had the Nintendo 64 back when it came out. I was not around during the 80s, but I did have quite a bit of experience with the NES even before the Wii came out, thanks to a secondhand NES that we used to have.

Favorite games: Super Mario 3D World, Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Playing: Hollow Knight
Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@MarioVillager92 Yeah, the two artists I mainly listen to are known for doing types of sad songs where nothing is happy. I mostly like the way they sound, but the lyrics are the opposite most of the time. An artist I like released this really catchy and happy sounding song back in March that I listened to when it released, and I really liked it…until I read an English translation that freaked me out because of how violent, graphic, and descriptive the lyrics were, plus the singing was happy about something very disturbing and twisted. I knew the song wasn’t going to be happy because of how his other songs are, but I did not ever expect the guy to make a song with lyrics THAT disturbing. I sometimes do intentionally ignore English lyrics for some Japanese songs, but it still doesn’t really change the fact that the song is about something bad or disturbing.
I do think I need to break out of that habit of always listening to only negative songs, since they can fuel my low self-esteem and mood since a lot of them are based on terrible and awful things that go on in the world. There was this song I also did listen to that’s literally centered on someone being shamed and called useless…I think that what I should do before I listen to Japanese songs is trying to find translations for the songs first, though I have been listening to other musicians I enjoy that make more positive or neutral music. There is this really calming and nice future funk song another artist I like was involved in, and it’s really a nice change of pace. Grant Kirkhope’s upbeat and silly music in the Banjo games make me really happy too, and so do some tracks from Robin Beanland.
I do watch some YouTubers and the majority I have watched are very funny and entertaining, but I can agree that some can be super negative, especially if they are drama channels and are all about exposing people, so I just watch more entertaining and lighthearted videos that focus on fun stuff like film reviews or video games. A lot of those cheer me up.
When I browsed from Tokopedia, I like to hunt a lot of PS3 games as there were a lot of cheap PS3 games (used games) that I can consider so currently my PS3 games quantity is more than my PS4 games collection.
Well, the PS3 games I chose were mostly non popular games or licensed franchise games for kids.
@WaveBoy
Turning 39 before the end of this year... woo boy.
My uncle got me an NES when I was 3ish years old back in 1988 - changed my life (and made him my favorite uncle always lol).
Would go to the arcades and school much older kids in Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Galaga, Pacman, etc.
Now I have a family and things are different, but the Switch has allowed me to keep gaming. So, nowadays I mostly play my Switch, but I am a retro collector/player for GameBoy and GameBoy color games. Just picked up a few GameBoy games yesterday, actually, and having a blast with Donald Duck: Goin' Quackerz of all things haha

@OctolingKing13 Sounds fun! I haven’t played Minecraft in a while, but I remember having the WiiU edition and having so many great memories playing it with my family. The minigame modes they included there were such a blast. A ton of sessions got really competitive! Too bad other console ports of Minecraft didn’t carry them over.
I wonder what music you are listening to! I love listening to music too, though the ones I’ve been listening to are super negative, so I’ve been trying to listen to more positive ones more. I’m a fan of Japanese music and VGM a ton, though I have heard some current pop songs and think they sound nice.
Its all a corporate sham anyway so who cares. Big kek to corporations only celebrating it where it's sure to give them a sales boost and tiptoeing around middle east
The icing on the cake was ikea removing women from its mid east catalogue
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
