@Tyranexx Haha, no need to sell me on it, it's already firmly locked in on my "to buy" list, just not right now.
@TheJGG Oh, there's dozens of games that I either still need to get or want to get, but with a potentially insanity-inducing back log like mine, I sometimes need to seriously reign myself in...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
I started playing through Return of the Obra Dinn yesterday evening. So far it's very intriguing, and I have the controls down pretty well at this point. It's a HECK of an exercise for the grey matter, but (usually) the good kind.
@ThanosReXXX Good to know. I assure you, you won't be disappointed.
I've been trying to reign in my own purchases through budgeting. That's working fairly well, but I'm not 100% perfect by any means. My budget does leave enough to pick up Super Mario 3D All-Stars before it eventually vanishes, though there are plenty of physical copies floating around here that I'm not worried.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Tyranexx
I have played Yokai Watch 1 3DS since from last Saturday and the explanation in English made me understand and realized that you cannot take direct control to your Yokais. They will attack the foes automatically but you still able to target one foe to be attacked. I understood Yokai Watch gameplay after played the first game, the third game in Japanese left me clueless about Battle system that actually they were similar with the first game. But catching other Yokais by throwing them the foods was not guarantee if you will get them after battle. Looks harder than Pokemon in term of catching monster.
Oh, i also got 3D All Stars too. I played Mario Sunshine as i have never played that game before but the first impression i got was... not really good. The FLUDD control was a mess, worse than Ratchet & Clank PS2 games. 😑
It was very hard to aim the target by splash them in strafe mode. Thank goodness i bought the Switch version with other 3D Mario games, cannot imagine if i bought the pricey Gamecube version and realized the game was very hard to play and i will get disappointed more. I still thought Ratchet & Clank 3 Up Your Arsenal PS2 and PS3 version was much better and more enjoyable than Mario Sunshine.
@Anti-Matter Yep, I did forget to mention that you can target certain Yokai (or parts of them, for some bosses) and at least focus your Yokais' attacks that way. If you ever see some floating wisps when in a battle screen, you can also pin them for a bonus; typically it's food or a way to fill up a Yokai's spirit meter, but they can also award some extra experience points.
There are certain foods that a Yo-kai likes and will make them more likely to befriend you That said, recruiting new Yokai is VERY random. Some joined my group without any effort on my part at all, while others took forever to recruit even though I was using the right foods repeatedly. That's a flaw of the first game. I've read the odds are better in the various versions of Yo-Kai Watch 2, but I still found the mechanic to be a bit random in my Fleshy Souls playthrough.
The main reason I want Super Mario 3D All-Stars is because I've never played Super Mario Sunshine. I've heard mixed things about the FLUDD controls; some people seem to like them, while others don't. I'll try them out myself when the time comes lol. I have played both Super Mario 64 (Wii U Virtual Console) and Super Mario Galaxy (Wii), and those are worth picking up alone. In fact, Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite 3D Mario game, with Super Mario Odyssey at a close second.

@Tyranexx
But getting All Yokais is not something really necessary, right ?
It's not gotta catch'em all.
I have interest with certain Yokais, same like Pokemon so i will not forcing myself to get 100% All Yokais. I saw some uninteresting looking Yokai such as Grimmer looking Yokai, the skeleton girls, long necked geisha, covid virus looking Yokai, etc.
I have less impression with old 3D Mario games after i played Ratchet & Clank games as i felt Ratchet & Clank games started from the 2nd game, the gameplay was more interesting to play and the planets are enjoyable to revisit just to level up the weapons and getting more bolts.
I still have interst with Mario games but Shigeru Miyamoto needs to make something never before done from Mario games. I would like to see Mario goes secret agent with new gadgets, new environment, new enemies, no Damsel in distress plot or Mario goes Ratchet & Clank style. Mario Odyssey was like a baby step approach in my opinion (No Game Over screen).
Oh, Nintendo should revive their rhythm game like Donkey Conga despite i am not a fan of Donkey Kong but I would like to see Beatmania IIDX style from Nintendo with more diverse music genre (Eurobeat, Euro Trance, Speed Rave, Power Fushion, Techno, Cyber Trance, etc), not just only depend on Nintendo related musics or Classical cover musics.

@ThanosReXXX Backlog?! Who needs a backlog when you have... patience?
Not going to lie but I have a small backlog myself. Games on said backlog include Ghost of Tsushima, Kingdom Hearts III, Red Dead Redemption 2, Ōkami HD, Stardew Valley, Mario + Rabbids... it’s sad I haven’t even touched any of these games.
@Tyranexx Apologies for the late reply. Yeah I've been through a similar situation with saved games, particularly with my copy of Super Mario All-Stars. (I've had that same copy since my childhood.) We've played it so much, that it ended up draining the save battery and as a result, all the save files are donezo. The game select screen would start at SMB1 and all the save files would say "new." That's the only instance I truly remember though.
You stuck toys in odd spots? I see, I think we've all done crazy stuff when we were kids, lol. Me and my bro would like, draw on walls with markers. Of course, that was when we were super young.

@Anti-Matter@Tyranexx I got the game at launch and it works for me because the only game I’ve played in the collection is Super Mario 64 DS. So exposing myself to the older Mario games was very refreshing, because I hadn’t played a single entry before. Strangely I found 64 to be the most fun of them all, the controls for Mario are probably the best in the series, rivalled only by Odyssey. It feels so modern and responsive for such an old game, and so the level designs are able to work well.
Sunshine Mario controls feel... meh. The FLUDD is overused and we lose some moves that would have fit right in, like a long jump, or a dive. The controls feel a bit laggy, either that or I control him too fast, because doing things like triple jumps are really hard because the timing’s out of whack. That and the awful frame rate means your response will be slow compared to what’s on screen.
Galaxy Mario’s in the middle, and here he feels a little slow. The entire game feels slow honestly, and if it didn’t break the game it could have been a fun QoL choice if Nintendo increased Mario’s speed like they did in 3D World. His move set is also diverse, but slow too.
@Tyranexx Oh yeah, Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite 3D Mario game as well! SMO and SMG2 are right up there too.
Super Mario Sunshine is a good one overall, too, I really like its worlds and controls. It's a bit jank at points though, namely how the game progresses and how it handled blue coins. I do recommend giving it a shot, as there's no other Mario game quite like it.

I finished my second playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I only love the game even more now, my second time, than the first. My two favorite games are on Switch, XC1 and XC2 in that order. It's always such a bitter sweet thing, ending a playthrough of these games. I love them so very very much. I spend weeks playing through the story, doing everything there is to do (aside from a couple super bosses I lack the patience for) and I get so entrenched in the world, the story and the characters. It's hard to reach the end because I always want more time with these characters and I always want to know more about these worlds. It's hard to say goodbye. I get to a point in RPG/JRPGs where I almost don't want to finish them, because it's finishing them and I don't want them to end. These games especially.
Eventually I will be doing a proper New Game+ for XC2. But I need to avoid starting it too soon. It's just how I am with even the games I love this much. But also, I have other games to play, and my self-imposed rule of only one big RPG/JRPG at a time means I gotta set aside my favorites sometimes.
Next on the list shall be Bravelly Default 2. I honestly don't expect anywhere near Xenoblade levels of connection with it. But the demo was fun and I imagine I'll enjoy the full meat experience.

Day 210,549...
Anarchy reigns...
People are starving and dying worldwide...
Countries have wiped each other off the map with nuclear warfare...
Anti's still posting about Beatmania IIDX...
@TheJGG Is there a possibility of getting just those "Anarchy reigns...
People are starving and dying worldwide...
Countries have wiped each other off the map with nuclear warfare..." and skip the last one?
@Zuljaras Well hopefully there's enough contacts between us two, and maybe some other intrepid Chit-Chatters, to cause anarchy, nuclear warfare and global famine.
