I don’t like Pokémon. The games as of late give the impression of a lazy, cynically awful series with zero regard for quality. The fandom is also trash, especially highlighted because of the #Pokédex which was a complete joke. Why would people start flame wars over the Pokédex?!
@TheJGG We may never understand. I only pass the story, catch pokemons and that's about it for me 😅 I still don't get what's so fascinating about catching all pokemon in each generation. Sorry for the late reply. Got really hooked with a new game 😅
@MarioLover92 I began noticing after two weeks; and considering how fast a player I am, makes sense. I take my time in video games, and still finish way ahead of time. If HowLongToBeat tells me eighty hours I’ll take sixty.
@Diddy64 Well easy solution there, don’t get Pokémon! Out of all the Nintendo series bar Mario, this one feels like it’s the most optimised for making money with as low effort as possible. Which is a shame because the fan base for these games is huge.

If they put in more effort it would also attract new players more often. Now I feel like I’ll get the Pokémon for grown adults, Shin Megami Tensei!

@Anti-Matter to be fair to him, while he is extremely pushy and the insurance is basically meaningless, you do get a tiny amount of money for every bee that stings you, and fake art piece you buy.
I have another job interview today. This time it’s for Culver’s instead of CFA. Luckily this one is in-person so it should go so much better than the last one!

Sheesh, can't even take a break from this thread and I'm already almost ten pages behind. That sure was an intensive and not always interesting read. And speaking of Pokémon (something I didn't really ever expected to be saying), since I slowly started adding to my 3DS collection since last month, I decided to buy Pokémon Moon as well. Imagine my surprise when I found out that it wasn't actually running in an active 3D mode, but just in bog-standard non-3D visual mode...
Guess I must have missed that important fact by not paying all that much attention to Pokémon Moon reviews back in the day. Oh, well. It's still an enjoyable game regardless.
@Zuljaras Great gory Pokémon drawing by the way. Good thing I wasn't active in the thread at that exact moment, otherwise I might have been persuaded to join in the discussion. Now, a couple of days after the fact, I don't even bother and just shrug it off...
@Late That song by Post Malone isn't even his. It's originally by Hootie & the Blowfish and that version is a gazillion times better. I guess the only reason they let him cover it, is money, because otherwise, it's a massive insult to the original, far as I'm concerned. It was a beautiful love song, basically. Now it's a kiddy Pokémon sound track title...

@Anti-Matter Nope, missed all of that as well. I'm not too bothered about it, though. Just like @Heavyarms55 I'd otherwise just find my potential enthusiasm for it being crushed by idiotic Poke-zealots who think they are "real" fans, and as such have the god-given right to stomp all over any and all things that the Pokémon company releases these days. The ironic thing is that they still buy and play the games regardless...

@Snatcher Haha, yeah. Not always, though. It depends on the discussions. Sometimes, if I stay away for a couple of days, it's only a couple of pages, and now it was almost an entire essay reading through all the comments.
@Zuljaras And thanks right back at you. I was just not in the mood for a while. Actually already got turned off from any and all Nintendo-related forums after the negativity of the last Nintendo Direct. I personally thought it was solid, even though even I was definitely not interested in all of it (in fact, only in a couple of titles), but seeing SO many people being so whiny and negative about it, just really rubbed me the wrong way.
And after that, some bad days at work happened, so my mood definitely got worse, so I took a short break from commenting, seeing as I didn't want to risk my mood potentially infecting/ruining this thread. Might even have resulted in me getting a notice or two from a mod.
Nah, just kidding. I would have never let it gotten that far. I think...
Anyways, I'm all better now, so back to the Chit-Chatting again.
