@ThanosReXXX Yeah, it sounded like NASA was trying to preemptively combat conspiracies when explaining why the skycrane doesn't have visible jet flames. I don't know if you watched NASA explain that part in their stream.
@reporterdavid I know, man. Just pulling your leg. Always watch the smiley, indicating a joke or an at least not too serious comment...
@WoomyNNYes No, I haven't watched ALL of it, just the landing. And it was covered in the news over here, after which I looked up some more photos and clips, but I didn't see the entire thing all at once.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@ThanosReXXX Yeah Im ok with that. Even with the last comments of the video. But anyway. I know my points of life where I am good, and where I can do better. I am not perfect. But I try to aim for the best.
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
@Tyranexx I've been wondering about that too. Hopefully we'll find out for sure about how good the right stick controls are when it gets closer to SS HD's release date. Who knows, it might be better than we may think. Currently my sensor bar is below my TV.
And yeah, late reply. Was a bit busy with stuff, lol.
"Give yourself the gift of being joyfully you."
Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@reporterdavid Nobody's perfect, my friend, so there's no need to strife for perfection either. Just be the best you that you can be, and that's all you'll ever need.
@MarioLover92 I've got two sensor bars: one on top of the TV, and one underneath it. The top one is for the Wii, the bottom one is for the Wii U...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Anti-Matter I've never played a Wii U. I had a Gamecube & PS2, then didn't get a new console until 2016 when I got the New 3DS XL, then the Switch. Up until 2015, I usually only played games in the winter. Now that I've burned out on skiing, and sometimes biking, I've been gaming more.
@WoomyNNYes
Oh, you have PS2 too.
Have you ever played any Rhythm games from Konami ?
PS2 has tons of diamonds and hidden gems, especially Japanese PS2 games.
Not to mention the Arcade at home style games with its peripheral to play.
Also, PS2 is a great machine to play 3D platformer games.
I add this Monday to my official "Mondayish Mondays to Ever Monday" list. At least some people brought in food for a belated Fat Tuesday, on account that most of us were buried in snow last week....
@TheJGG It IS starting to look that way, isn't it? XD
@ThanosReXXX I've actually put down Breath of the Wild for a while, now that I've actually sent Calamity Ganon packing and completed all the Shrines. I do plan to go back and play the DLC when I do inevitably pick that up. Hopefully in a few months lol. The only Switch "game" I have going right now is the Project Triangle Strategy demo. Most of my gaming attention lately has been focused on my first playthrough of Final Fantasy VI (Well, III, if we want to use the original numbering....FF localization here used to be weird....) via the SNES Classic. I hope to also give Star Fox 64 3D a spin at some point this week as well.
I DO admittedly need to get going on the MCU films lol. I think the most recent one I watched that had ties to any other film was Ant-Man and the Wasp. For Marvel properties as a whole, I did watch The New Mutants. That one wasn't bad per se and had some enjoyable moments, but it didn't quite find its identity overall. It definitely spent some time in movie h311.
@MarioLover92 Hopefully they drop a brief demo (Not very likely) or at least allow the new SS controls to be discussed in the inevitable hands-on pieces that'll show up. Or I could just be patient and try the different control schemes out on my own. XD
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Anti-Matter I'm not into rhythm games. The last time I played the PS2 was 2011-2014 when I got Sly Cooper series, Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, Half-LIfe.
If I ever go back to play PS2, it would be for Sly Cooper.
Here's a my PS2 games list:
Batman Vengeance
BLACK
Burnout 3
F1 2001
Gran Turismo 3
Gran Turismo 4
Grand Theft Auto III
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Gungrave
Half-Life
Jack and Daxter
Killzone
Klanoa 2
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3
Midway Arcade Treasures
Namco Museum
Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank Going Commando
Rayman 2
Simpsons Road Rage
Sly Cooper 1,2,3
State of Emergency
Star Wars Battlefront
Twisted Metal Black
Virtua Figther 4
(keep in mind, I know which fighting & shooting games you won't like in my list 😉. I don't even like half of these games myself these days, but I am still fond of most of the platformers.)
@WoomyNNYes
I played Ratchet & Clank Trilogy PS3 (Remastered from PS2 version), Sly Cooper Collection PS3 (Remastered from PS2 too) but i still haven't finished yet the 1st series as Ratchet & Clank 1 was too primitive, Sly Cooper 1 was like Crash Bandicoot style.
I have interest with Street Fighter Alpha series and SF III 3rd Strike on PS2.
Also, i played Kickboxing games from K-1 on PS2.
My PS2 games based on my purchase list are mostly Konami's Rhythm games on PS2. They are like my new religion for me.
I want to get All of them both in Japan and USA version. There are a lot of Konami's rhythm games on PS2, more than 50 titles by altogether. Let me breakdown every single release.
DDR (Japan and USA) = 9 + 9 = 18
Beatmania IIDX (Japan + USA) = 14 + 1 = 15
Guitar Freaks & Drummania (Japan only) = 8
Pop'n Music (Japan only) = 8
Keyboardmania (Japan only) = 1
Para Para Paradise (Japan only) = 1
Total = 51 games
I didn't count Karaoke Revolution as i have no interest at all with Singing games.
Btw, is your PS2 USA or PAL ?
Mine are Japan and USA.
I can recommend you Bomberman games on Japanese machine (Bomberman Battles, Bomberman Land 3) if you don't really mind with the language.
Bomberman Battles = Classic Bomberman in 3D + 3 Ball Sports (Tennis, Golf and Baseball)
Bomberman Land 3 = Party games with free roaming in 3D Amusement park and collect the colored number pieces to unlock different areas of amusement park.
@Anti-Matter I forgot one game. 😁 I also have Incredible Crisis!..... which has some a rhythm games in it. I'm pasting the video to play at the Elevator of Doom part, which is more button mashing than anything... but it's amusing. It's a PS1 game, but I got it to play on my PS2 way back in the day.
@WoomyNNYes
Is that rhythm game ?
Looks like Party games with a lot of wackiness. Or was that like Rhythm Heaven style ?
Btw, how is your rhythm skill when playing Rhythm game on Incredible Crisis ?
My rhythm skill on DDR was very great (almost 18 years experiences), on Para Para was great too, but i still newbie for Beatmania IIDX , Keyboardmania and Pop'n Music as i never play rhythm games with my fingers.
I have ever played Beatmania IIDX at Arcade for a while but only can pass level 1 - 3 songs as i haven't any experience to switch my fingers quickly like playing piano, i don't play piano either. Recently, i tried to learn about using the fingers setting for playing Beatmania IIDX from Youtube.
@Anti-Matter My playstation games are all USA region.
Yeah, that's true. Incredible Crisis! is more about wackiness than it is about rhythm. It's definitely wacky.
Edit: my rhythm skill is probably weak. I haven't played Incredible Crisis in a longg time. I think I played on easy difficulty, if it had a difficulty setting.
@WoomyNNYes
Speaking about wacky games, there are some wacky games on PS1 such as Bishi Bashi Special (Japan and PAL), Pepsiman (Japan only), Slap Happy Rhythm Busters (Japan only).
You might to consider PS2 Japan machine if you interested with some hidden gems from Japanese games.
PS1 & PS2 games are like Day and Night when you compare with PS3 and PS4 games.

@WoomyNNYes I have a feeling the next rover will be called "Determination" or something like that. The last consecutive Mars vehicular probes have been called "Spirit", "Opportunity", "Curiosity" and "Perseverance". It's a great naming scheme! I'm very fascinated by space travel, but even if there's no signs of life on Mars we'll probably end up trying to colonise it within the next one hundred years.
@ThanosReXXX You mentioned a planetary confederacy? I agree, I think it could be a viable option for governing the Solar System in the next few centuries. Problem being that one, we would have to be able to travel safely and fast to Mars, within one week optimally. The longer people are on a spacecraft the more likely it is that something goes wrong, plus who'd want to spend four months on a rocket? Second, data transfers won't be that fast, and so things like communicates would take a long time to come through. In the novel "The Martian", and the movie adaptation, both of which were lauded for their incredible scientific accuracy, it took twenty minutes for a signal sent from Earth to reach Mars, which despite the merits of what's already been achieved, isn't viable for the future. Fix these two problems and we could very well have a functioning Martian colony by the end of the millennium.
Anybody seen "Epilogue" by Daft Punk? It's not a new song, they've stopped making music. I first heard their music eight years ago, and their first song I listened to was "Instant Crush". My favourite album... it's a toss up between Discovery and Random Access Memories. Both are just incredible albums that carry such different, but so strong underlying themes. Discovery (as shown in the anime Interstella 5555), is a space odyssey with elements of love, sadness and loneliness. Random Access Memories is about the human condition and the nuances of being human. The former relies heavily on samples, and gives off an eighties vibe, while the latter uses live instruments. Both use the infamous Daft Punk vocoder, and have some incredible solos.
My favourite song in Discovery is either "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger", "Face to Face" or "Voyager". The former has a really catchy beat and lyrics, and has a really mechanical feel to it. The second has amazing samplework, and has really profound meaning with lyrics. Voyager... has an awesome bass line and feels like something you'd listen to in a solo car ride at night.
My favourite song in RAM is either "Give Life Back to Music", "Instant Crush", "Touch" or "Fragments of Time". The first has a nice meaning, because most music nowadays has been pretty bland, and same-y. This song critiques that and tells us we need to do something. The second has some really nice vocals, and has some good lyrics to boot. The third is a journey, not a song. It's the best example of the "human condition" factor I mentioned earlier. A robot becoming human, and struggling to cope with it. And Fragments of Time feels like another drive song, this time down a beach road. The solo in the middle is just awesome.
If anyone's heard their music please share! If not, please look them up, you won't regret it.
