Topic: New 3DS

I wonder how this will affect Smash 3DS sales. How many people are going to wait for the New3DS before getting Smash

Not me. We don't even know for sure when it's coming to the West (if at all). I am not waiting six months to a year to play Super Smash Bros. I want to play it now lol

So if I try to buy a new one from GameStop, I have to ask for a new new 3DS?

we dont know why but i think it has to do with Japan not getting any new revisions since the XL and we got the 2DS not too long ago

@Faruko They haven't confimed 2015 for America unless you are talking about Europe.
I have a feeling the American release will be before Christmas to coincide with the release of Smash for Wii U and Amiibo.

Nintendo UK only said 2015 at the earliest. NOA said nothing about it at all. Both are probably more focused on the stuff already announced for this year.

WHAT IF THE NEW3DS DOESN'T COME TO NA!!!!!! I mean the only exclusive is Xenoblade Chronicles and they didn't want to bring that to NA in the first place... (doubt this is true, lol)

This is fine for what it is, but if Nintendo stops development of 3DS...I guess 3DSclassic games, I will end someone.

Ah I was wondering when Nintendo was going to finally release their next pawn. You guys do know this thing was already created when the very first 3DS was released right? They just waited for enough people to buy the 3ds to make their pockets happy until there next pawns comes into play.... then comes the XL! And now, New 3DS~! And people will always keep on buying, suckers. Nintendo fans are the most loyal which is why they are the most broke.
To blind to see they are pawns in Nintendo's grand master game.

First they made 3DS owners regret their purchase when the XL came out, now it's happening again. I don't want to waste my money just because they kept this a secret to milk the money.

This is why PC Master Race is even a thing. I'm getting more and more disappointed in Nintendo's hardware structure, though their games are amazing.

They should probably call this new 3DS movel "3DSX".

There is no SD Card Slot is theree? Just a Micro SD Card Slot... which means we have to buy a different/new Card if you download a lot

But 3DSX XL isn't a good name.

Also, the real reason it's coming in 2015 is so that it doesn't seem like there's an annual release of the 3DS. Keep in mind Japan didn't get the 2DS last year.

BTW, I hope that with the upgrades Minecraft comes to 3DS

If they use new SD cards, how shall I do a systemtransfer and still keep my savefiles?

I'm kind of wondering if we'll get a new WarioWare soon, as this seems like a great way to showcase the New 3DS. Since it's WarioWare, you'll probably be moving the system around a lot, and with the improved 3D screen you wouldn't be constantly losing the sweet spot. It also seems to have better head tracking, and even a light to light up your face when you're in the dark, which would be great for microgames that track your face. Maybe they could even have a feature where the camera takes pictures of your face and then they can be sent to your PC. Besides all that, we're just way overdue for a new WarioWare.

I was reading a poorly translated version of the Japanese site, and it looked like they simply recommended moving all the content from the source (Normal) SD card to the new (Micro) SD card on a computer. Lucky for me, my SD card is actually a Micro SD card that slips into a normal sized one, so all I would have to do is take the Micro SD card out and put it into the new model, but I know most people don't have those.

I notice how nobody commented on the "New 3DS" buttons. They remind me of the SNES buttons.

Now that we are thinking names, what about Neo 3DS?

Wait...SD Micro? I thought it would take a normal one too...WTF? :/
