After a false call by Netflix Nordic last November, earlier this week the third season of the animated adaptation of Castlevania was officially dated. It's arriving next month, on 5th March, and will reportedly be comprised of a total of 10 episodes.
If the release date alone wasn't enough, Netflix has now shared its first trailer of season three (spoilers ahead). As you might recall, the previous season ended with Alucard killing his father. Unfortunately, though, the human race is still under threat from Dracula's forces of evil.
Trevor Belmont, his morning star, and the speaker Sypha Belnades make a return in this new season alongside Alucard, as they reunite once again in an attempt to stop Hell from breaking loose. View the full trailer above and tell us what you think of it in the comments below.

Sypha is what would happen if Avatar: The Last Airbender was TV-MA.
Also I'm incredibly excited this is coming soon. Been patiently waiting since the end of season 2.
¡¡Looks So good!! I can't wait!
I can't wait. Best best best.
Did I need to see Hector being naked in a cage? No, I didn't.
But, I will say that Season 2 was better than Season 1, even if I still don't like the way the show handles violence and profanity, so I am cautiously optimistic...
OMG OMG OMG!!!!
So much awesomeness!!! Eyeballs... ex... ploding...
That was a nice trailer! Now to decide if I want to wait and binge or watch it week by week.
Just … beautiful … Miserable little pile of secrets ...
I loved season 1 and 2, and this looks awesome, as well !
Good for the fans... but seeing this animation it doesn't do anything for me and I love Castlevania... well sometimes anime is more like than the game and vice versa or both liked or both hated haha . Enjoy people
This looks great and Sypha is awesome. Can't wait for March 5th.
Wow just wow been waiting for a long time for season 3
Ok Konami great.
Next up Metal Gear Anime focusing on Raiden and Sunny (with flashbacks featuring Snake).
@Mach_Rider is it suppose to be rated G?
@Dirty0814 No, but it could've easily been PG-13. There's violence and profanity done well e.g. "RoboCop". There's violence and profanity done in a tasteless, moronic manner e.g. the recent DC animated films and this show. Do you seriously want a conversation about having...intimate intercourse with a goat in Castlevania? 'Cause I as hell sure don't!
@Mach_Rider
I agree with you. Playing video games and monster lore is something that my kid and I share. She's 12 (turning 13) and I know she would enjoy this since she's seen me play the NES games on the Switch. Sadly I can't since there's just too much going on.
@Liam_Doolan Like many others reading this article, we're aware of how the Season 2 finale ends, although it may be prudent to give a spoiler warning before you drop information in case there are those who are not up to speed.
Keep up the good work though & thanks for the post ^_^
That reminds me, I still have to get around to watching season two of Castlevania. I guess I should really get that done, sometime over the next two and a half weeks, before season three drops.
400 games in the franchise, and they insist on sticking with Trevor. /sigh
I'm going to have to watch the second series again, can't really remember it.
@GreatCrippler What is wrong with Trevor? Never really played the games so I am curious what character might make for a better tv show
@Vepra There's nothing specifically wrong with Trevor. He's just the protagonist of 1 game. Then a side character in a couple of others. Simon, or Richter would make a lot more sense. If you used Richter you could easily squeeze 2 more seasons out of Rondo, then Symphony. That would give fans more Alucard. I just feel like they are kind of limiting themselves when there's no reason to.
Very nice. I'll watch it soon.
