Wow, this is actually a pretty great package and a good price. I played a bit of 4 on 3DS and liked it. I don't pre-order often but I might make an exception for this.
It almost looks like a console bundle
Oh man, I have to resist the temptation to get this. Not sure about the swimsuit DLC given there were already ones in the 3DS version plus a lot of the characters are, uh, on the younger side. And I mean the really young side of loli.
And for those that bought from Play-Asia what DLC did those buyers get????
Nintendo Life really be throwing the swimsuit day dlc in the subtitle lmao
definitely might get this.
Don’t care about the DLC but to support the series I’ll probably buy the special edition and download a copy too. So happy to see RF5 finally coming.
I’ll wait till Animal Crossing to get back into the whole life/farm simulator genre. I played one of these games and was worried that it would just be Harvest Moon with an RPG battle system shoehorned in. I wasn’t proven wrong.
@StableInvadeel Probably because it IS a console game bundle... 🤔
@nessisonett Well they can get married too so I don’t know what that says about the in game society.
Played the crap out of the game on 3DS. Not sure if I'm going to get it again on the Switch or not. Would like to play it again but it's a pretty big time commitment and I have so much to play as it is.
I'm drooling for those physical copies.
I still might pick up this game, but there are so many other games out right now, and coming out, that I just don't know when I'd have time to play this. My understanding is that Rune Factory is a massive massive time sink!
I won’t splurge for the special edition - there are so many games I want coming out between next week and the end of the year that I won’t be able to buy them all as it is - but the standard physical copy is a day one purchase for me. I played this on my 3DS some 5 years ago not knowing what to expect (I had never played a RF game before), and I ended up LOVING it. I’ve been meaning to play through the game again for a couple of years, but after getting used to the Switch screen I’ve been struggling to go back to the now blurry 3DS one. Now we just need a release date!
That's a nice price for a Collector's Edition. I may get this if I can snag one
@ReaperExTenebris Literally just go to the beach in the 3DS version, especially on Beach Day. Everyone has a swimsuit. You can even unlock your character’s swimsuit to wear about the place.
not a bad https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/07/video_take_a_look_at_the_beautiful_opening_animation_in_digimon_survive price at all
@Heavyarms55 It's no more or less a time sink than other JRPGs. Which is to say it is, but it's not Minecraft/Animal Crossing levels of time sink...
I'll probably pre-order it, but a more detailed release date than just "Winter" would be great. Damnit Xseed and Marvelous, give us a date to loom forward to!
@NEStalgia Really? I had heard it was like a farming sim JRPG hybrid that could go for hundreds of hours.
@Heavyarms55 it kind of is a farm sim j-action rpg... But as for hundreds of hours, I'm sure you COULD do that much of you wanted to 100% it, do all the post game content, collect all the things etc. I recall the post game got kind of an insane difficulty spike with bosses and even regular dungeons and i stopped there. But the main campaign and side quests is normal or long-normal jrpg length I think. Extra sim play and post game is optional.
Edit: there's some similarity to fantasy life in play and in the crazy insane post game.... But with a farm management game as a main mechanic... On top of the dungeon crawler. It's really unique.
@Averagewriter That's what I thought it was, and thus why I thought it would be a very long game. I like that about it. But with so many games I want to play, I don't know if I want to commit to it right now. Especially knowing Rune Factory 5 is coming to the Switch too and will actually be built for the Switch, rather than a port.
@nessisonett nothing wrong with that
@nessisonett Just accept it and move on. Like seriously getting all worked up on swimsuits at a beach? Seriously that is normal.
But marrying...... it is a fantasy setting with "different laws" if you want to say that. You shouldn't worry about their age when your character is close to their age. This is a teen game as you can see, and their will be many teens playing this, so if you adults just have to be uncomfortable, then fine, but don't need to blurt out on how you feel honestly when a bunch of people with various ages are playing this game.
I'll probably skip this one and wait for Rune Factory 5. My 3DS version of RF4 still works perfectly fine.
It's up on Amazon.....
Ohhhhh I like the box art. It looks so good.
Preordered from amazon. Woo!
@EmmatheBest console bundle = it comes with the console.
@King-X It looks like it’s only up on the North American Amazon/Marvelous websites for now, nothing yet for Europe.
On a different note, Amazon US lists the game for release on January 21st - I wonder if that’s a placeholder or the actual date?
I just started a new game of RF4 on my N3DS. I'll wait for RF5.
I think I might like this game I think..
Was told by XSeed the Japan version is Japanese. What a bummer if I knew that I would've cancelled the order. But now I have to order the NA version so I can read english. ... ugh....
