Following on from the delay of Digimon Survive, Bandai Namco has uploaded the game's opening movie to its official YouTube channel.
This is the same trailer that was originally shown to attendees of the "Future of Digmon" panel at this year's Anime Expo. It contains English subtitles and sets the scene, as you might have already guessed.
Digimon Survive will release at some point in 2020. The reason behind the delay, according to producer Kazumasa Habu, is due to "reorganization" of the game's development structure. Here's a translation, courtesy of Siliconera:
"Regarding Survive, the planned release date has been changed to 2020 because of a reorganization of our game development structure. Sorry to keep you waiting. Once again, I feel deeply the hardships of game development… We will continue to develop the game in order to make it a good product, so please look forward to it."

Somewhere along the line 2D animation started dying in the west, and fully animated cutscenes died out in gaming.
I for one however am glad that some people still do it.
I'm so happy with this, specially knowing I'll be playing Cyber Sleuth this year. The animation was good and the story seems pretty interesting! Here's hoping to a successful game!
Beautifully animated. It does just enough to get you interested without revealing too much.
I am still hoping for 3D games that look like this in the future.
Cel shading has gone a long way since the good old Wind Waker, so it is not impossible
I love how this looks. I'm really curious about those games, I've never played any. I will be playing Cyber Sleuth as well
It`s funny how digimon always try something new for their games and pokemon got a formula that they never change.
Pretty sweet trailer! It reminds me of a few of the anime I used to watch! I hope the game is good too.
So the main trio will be Agumon, Labramon, and Falcomon (classic design)? Besides Agumon, that's some interesting choices. I don't think classic Falcomon has ever come to the west before, and Labramon deserves more love.
An absolutely beautiful animation, can't wait for when this releases
@Ryllow I feel like at least part of that is that Digimon has never found the massively profitable formula that Pokemon did.
If they did, they'd probably stick with it too.
@saintayu yeah but i think they already gave up on find this formula because their games genre are always niche.
great really great https://robotsimulator.org/gta-6-leak-ps4-ps5-story/are going to be
