Video: Slime Fighting And Pie Stealing Abound In The First 30 Minutes of Dragon Quest Monsters 2

Posted by Kerry Brunskill

Half an hour of RPG action awaits you

We've had a look at Square Enix's 3DS remake of the Game Boy Color RPG before, but now the wait is finally over — the title has launched in Japan and gamers lucky enough to be equipped with a Japanese 3DS can at last enjoy this Slime-filled RPG. In case you were wondering, we're lucky enough.

We've played the opening portion of this game and have come away very impressed indeed. The gorgeous graphics seem to be giving the 3DS a real workout and the plot has that classic Dragon Quest balance of charm and adventure, so we can only hope that gamers worldwide will get to play this wonderful game sooner rather than later. In the meantime, gaze longingly at our exclusive video below and look forward to more coverage here on Nintendo Life very soon.

I would rather have VII but I probably would get this. (Rather have either than Bravely Default which I do have).

Reading this my childhood started crying. First ever game that my parents let me buy on my own. I swear we better get both this and Terry's Wonderland.
