The fact that Picross E is venturing outside of its native Japan isn't news — we reported on the Australian classification in July — but a listing for the game has now gone live on the European eShop, complete with a gameplay video.
You can see for yourself by checking out the "Recent Videos" section of the eShop, or searching for "Picross". There's no solid release date attached, or any indication of pricing, but still — it's a start, right?

Watching it now
there isn't any 3DS download game scheduled for next week(besides NSMB 2, which you can download next friday at 01:00 AM) so I really hope this will be released next thursday.. (:
This is going straight on my Watch list.
Must-have title, no doubt about that, many a Picross puzzle awaits on my SD card between other bouts of gaming!
I wonder if this means the title is actually arriving next week?
Heck, it's far more than North America has gotten so far. Jealous.
@Stuffgamer1
There's a few things that Europe hasn't received yet, but our eShop seems to be doing very well.
If they put downloadable content on this, I'll never see the light of day again.
meep
Please or PLEASE come to the States! This is a day 1 download for me.
@CommanderAudio
but you can play your 3DS outside aswell
Hope this is coming to the US soon!
Well done, James. Now give us a release date.
Awesome! Loved the original on DS
@CommanderAudio
The same developers as Picross DS?
There's a save bet that there will be downloadable content, likely free.
And there'll likely be a Picross editor as well to create and share puzzles.
They'll probably even accept puzzles for contests and publish them as downloadable packs!
I dare say they will even run legacy puzzles from any three of the Mario Picross games.
and what would NA eshop deliver next week? Lemme guess: Chinese Checkers by Nikoli
@MikeDanger1
That doesn't sound quite as bad as checking the DSi Shop weekly, hoping to see Cave Story arrive, but seeing another damned Successfully Learning title, be it English, German or Maths.
Awesome.
Fingers crossed for next week.
If this doesn't have as much content as Mario Picross, then boo.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I love Picross
@TheDreamingHawk
I'm imagining it'll easily have much more.
@RupeeClock I wouldn't get too excited here. We're talking 'bout a 5€ (i assume) game against a game that was 30€ when it released iirc. Japan also got Picross e-2 about six months later so i wouldn't expect as much content as in the DS version.
Not having to make it a boxed retail-title changes the situation quite a bit imo.
bring to north america please ! I need to feed my picross fix
Better come stateside. Love Picross, Picross 3d and Marios Picross.
instant buy.
best puzzle game ever created
@RupeeClock: You could have Cave Story and pretty much every other popular eShop/DSiWare game America got way before you in exchange for Picross e as far as I'm concerned...I'd be perfectly happy with that. Yes, I love Picross that much. Everybody has that one all-important title, I think. I'm STILL mad Nintendo never bothered to put Super Mario's Picross on the American VC!
@Djrr-ific I thought it was 0:00 BST!
@Stuffgamer1 I think that was due to the high amount of Japanese text in the game, which is a shame considering how I can read some Kanji.
There's no YouTube video of this anywhere, can anyone film it for people from other corners of the world? Does the video show gameplay with menus in English? That should indicate a western release coming really soon, I'm very excited.
