Review Super Mario Maker (Wii U)
Pixel perfect
In the year of Super Mario's 25th Anniversary Nintendo released Super Mario Galaxy 2, a terrific sequel, and the rather uninspired Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition. Not bad, but a continuation of the norm - an accomplished (almost perfect) slice of platforming heaven and another release designed for little more than...

First Impressions Getting Creative With Mario Maker
Make Mine Mario
Mario Maker may have been inadvertently revealed a little earlier than intended at E3 this year, but with the allure of what was on offer — a new Wii U title which lets budding Miyamotos create and play their own Mario levels — we’d argue that the effect was less like ruining a surprise and more like knowing you’re getting...
About The Game
Play a near-limitless number of Super Mario levels created by Nintendo and players around the world.
Create your own Mario levels by using the Wii U GamePad touch screen to add enemies, blocks, pipes and more. Break the conventions of traditional Super Mario gameplay by blending enemies, traps and items into unexpected twists, like Piranha Plant-shooting cannons, power-up-tossing Lakitus, or even Hammer Bros. riding on Bowser while bouncing on trampolines.

I can't wait to play with this game. Making Mario levels has been a fantasy of mine since I was a kid, and this is my first chance to do it legitimately.
When it have a Overworld (mario bros. u) and we can make a full game, like nintendos new super mario bros. u, that was nice
What will you create? I will create the minus world!
Is the an Eshop exclusive? It seems like one...
I think it will be released in the begining of 2015, Can't wait!
Very succinct description...
endless mario.... lol
mario for life!
So tap a Link amiibo and get a Link costume... I wonder what happens if you tap a Mario amiibo? Or does it work the same as the new 8-bit amiibo?
I can't wait for this to but I'm hesitant to pay $60 for a level creator (albeit an amazingly deep one) and 100 random levels with no real continuity. I admit that the possibilities are limitless in the creation mode. I agree that the ability to upload/download custom courses is priceless but after buying a sealed copy of NSMBU+LU for 50 USD back in February, I have high standards about retail games. Anyone else feel me on this?
Can't wait for game. Must get it. But the release on 9/11? Whatever, MUST GET GAME!!!
Awesome!
@PurpleLuigi in europe its 11/9
Because we first say the day and then the month
With all we've seen of it now, we can start to plan on what we can and can't put together with it.
Above all, it's a great tool set to get our hands on, and there should be an endless supply of interesting levels to make. But I'm starting to wonder how many levels from actual Mario games it's capable of making. Not that it's meant to just duplicate levels from the past games, but with the elements that are missing, it would be impossible to get every detail. No sloped surfaces to slide down means tons of levels can't be outright copied. And Super Mario World was brimming with special gadget platforms you won't have to work with. It seems the SMM levels will have to rely more on mazes and enemies than rotating triple platforms and bars of blocks that expand and contract, and all the other level gimmicks not present. It'll be interesting to see if people can find alternate ways to do some of those things, though.
Has any mention been made of DLC, and what sort of things they can add to the tool set?

Can't wait for this game! :0
I Can't Wait Intil My Copy Comes In 21 Days
Try my level 5d3c-000p-007c-f9c1 - it's old school Mario and difficult (haven't been cleared yet, just by me) please give me feedback thank you
Sorry 5d3c-0000-007c-f9c1
When new content for this game comes, I would honestly love it if I didn't have to pay any extra money. After the whopping 60 bucks I had to pay for this, I don't think I, or anyother super Mario makers should have to put any more money towards the game. If any, new content could be in a new update.
@CAM290 why with the logo
Any news about the web portal yet??

Best of both worlds with my level "Parkour then a Puzzle." So far the parkour has been beaten but no one has completed the puzzle! 8C80-0000-0123-019B is the ID
Another level of mine is "Simply Spam?" which is more than meets the eye - a ridiculously difficult level that I bet no one can beat! B42A-0000-0122-3B5E is the ID. Don't forget to leave a star if you like it!
One final level of mine - I'll be making more soon, don't worry, is "Spinville" a moderately difficult level that requires knowledge of the spin jump! ID is E2C2-0000-0123-B592 and don't forget to leave a star if ya like it!
Awesome game! Maked 10 levels, they are average to hard to play
I honestly don't think this game is all that great.
It is a really cool game, however it would have been better if Luigi was an actual playable character and not just refined to a costume you get from a mushroom. I gave the game a 6/10. I do like Mario he is cool but it is nice to have an option. No Luigi takes three stars off the rating. That's just how I feel about it.
This game was amazing back in the day. Smm2 is much better now but this has the pleasure of being the first. It's sad Nintendo will no longer be allowing people to post levels anymore.
