Most of the Wiiware games are rubbish and the Virtual Console is not being treated nicely because of Wiiware. Virtual Console is 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 times better than Wiiware.

Do you mean Nintendo EAD should stop developing WiiWare games, or that Nintendo as a corporation should discontinue the WiiWare service as a whole?
Either way, no.
Zelda and Mario are better than most WiiWare games, yes, but Art Style and Bit Trip are better than most VC games. Most games on any platform are terrible, so these statements mean nothing. It's what rises to the top that counts, not the amount of crap at the bottom. You shouldn't judge a service by the games you don't play but by the ones you do.
Your thesis seems to be that WiiWare is "hurting" the Virtual Console; therefore Nintendo should stop making WiiWare games, despite the fact that any actual reason to stop making WiiWare would be business-related and not because some people on the internet would like to have more Virtual Console games and don't like WiiWare games. Since Nintendo appears to regard original games for download as important to future business plans, even if they weren't making money on any of them I would expect them to keep supporting WiiWare.
He does not seem to be asking what they should do to improve their sales but what you'd personally like them to do. A lot of games I like are probably not huge moneymakers, and I definitely hope the companies that make these games continue to make them. Whether or not they'd be better off for it is another question entirely.
While I generally prefer the VC games because they aren't as short and cut back in features I prefer Wiiware when it's done right because it provides an original gaming experience. Besides there are plenty of ways to play old Nintendo games that don't require a re-release on the Wii. Also I can't use my Powerglove on the Wii and what good are NES games without it?
This question is just wrong! How could Nintendo stop developing WiiWare games?? Nintendo hasn't even started developing a WiiWare game yet! They were only publishers as of now.
There are 19 WiiWare games published by Nintendo on the WiiWare service.
1~5 : The five Art Style games developed by SKIP 6&7: 530 Eco Shooter and WarioWare DIY Showcase developed by Intelligent Systems 8&9: Pokémon Rumble and My Pokémon Ranch developed by Ambrella 10: Actionloop Twist developed by Mitchell 11. Picturebook Games developed by Grounding 12. Bonsai Barber developed by Zoonami 13. Dr. Mario developed by Arika 14. Excitebike developed by Monster Games 15. LONPOS developed by Genki 16. MaBoShi developed by Mindware 17. Rock N' Roll Climber developed by Vitei 18. You, Me, and the Cubes developed by Fyto 19. Zenquaria developed by Paon
Virtual Console does suck these days, with the way things have beem going this year I will never see any of the games I'm still waiting for... I especially want Jumpman (C64), the 3D Castlevania (N64) and Mario All-Stars (SNES)! what happened to the C64 releases anyway?
Man I really want more VC titles to Come out to.... Especially more VCA Games. Wheres Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, and Ms. Pac-Man. Also I would like them to add new Arcade Games like Marvel Vs. Capcom

It does kind of suck these days, but I don't see what WiiWare has to do with it. There's little third-party interest, and Nintendo's first-party reserve is running almost on empty.
If we ever see All-Stars, it'll likely be as a Club Nintendo reward or as a final VC release for Wii owners when the Wii 2 rolls out, I would guess, Steve. Makes more sense for Nintendo continue making $29 instead of $8 on Mario.
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

I actually do think the third party interest is related to Wiiware though and the example I've been giving is Castlevania: Adventure Rebirth and Rondo of Blood. Both were released around the same time but Rondo of Blood had much more content and presumably(correct me if I'm wrong) people chose that over C:AR which obviously cost more to put on the service.
I think whilst some might prefer the VC that Wiiware(and PSN/XBL) is much more important going forward because it's kept some genres relevant and launched new franchises and helped fledgling developers.
@SKTTR: Intelligent Systems is a main part of Nintendo, they're fully owned and responsible for a lot of Nintendo's hardware(and devkits). They ARE Nintendo.
