I wonder how many stages will be in it, and how long each can be. It looks like it has the potential to be the best installment in the series.

Yea, this game won't be a Bit Trip game if it isn't fast. I expect it'll have some means of forcing the player forward. It could be that you are forced at a run a la the freeware Runman games. That would seem a step backwards in freedom of control from Void though. Maybe there'll be something like Adventure Island's food/hunger system or a steadily scrolling screen to force you along. Who knows...

well, nobody knows for now. details comming up in the next few weeks that's for sure now the first screen leaked. but what really borthers me is that VOID hasn't hit Europe and even they don't seem to know when this will happen. Alex just wrote me back that they have no freaking clue when this will happen... oh and that he is jealous of my black CC pro

As has been said before, this may be my first Bit.Trip game. The demo on WiiWare didn't impress me at all and the other games just looked like variants on that one. I'm not saying they are bad, they just weren't my cup of tea. Then again I can't remember a single rythym game I've ever enjoyed. Since this one is supposed to be completely different maybe they'll have a demo of it.

Not exactly. They're all completely different concepts. The premise may be the same (that of collecting beats) and that'll remain in RUNNER, but the actual gameplay is always different.

Maybe I'll give one of the other two a shot then. Part of the reason for me not caring much about it was the fact that I felt like I was playing solo Pong which is kind of like playing yourself in Chess.

Far from it. But IMO, Core and Void are better than Beat.

Haha, I'd like to see if you get the same impression by level 2, Rowdy. It's not that simple.

It's pretty cool. Keyboard controls and it's a bit laggy, but it's free! lol
