Topic: Nintendo looking to get Minecraft on Wii U

You could play Minecraft on anything that plays games except for Nintendo devices. This includes: PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Smart Phones, PS3, PS4, PSVita, XBox 360, XBox One, and even Raspberry whatever the heck that even is. I can't think of, not one device that could be often used to play games, that could not play Minecraft except for the 3DS and Wii U. It's too ridiculous.

I like Minecraft, but I agree, it is overrated.

This shouldn't even be a question Nintendo.need to get this on Wii U right now. the install base would increase 10 fold

I don't know whether or not you mean it can be played on Nintendo devices but it most certainly can. Matter of fact, the Wii U and the 3DS both are ideal for the game since they both have a second screen prime for the use of a menu or items. More so then Xbox or PlayStation.

I hate to sound like a PC Elitist, but I hope everyone realizes that the Xbox version of Minecraft is inferior to the PC version. If it came to the Wii U, it would likely be just as limited. (The limitations are things like older versions, and limited world sizes.)

the PC version will always be the best not only because of the controls but also becuase you can put mods in it that make the game more enjoyable even if just for a little while.

that comes from me, a guy with a PC so bad that Minecraft rarely goes over 23FPS and TF2 has some rendering error in places with reflective surfaces(like water) so it gets white and doesn't show any reflection....

yeah but that version is like one of the top selling Xbox games of the past couple of years from everything I've heard. Sales > logic.

This is going to be one of those moments were once Nintendo gets Minecraft no one will care because were onto bigger and better things right? I felt like even the announcements of Mincraft Xbone and PS4 were met with a resounding meh.

When the next gen minecraft was announced I could only thin to myself that's nice but I want to see more of Below and Transistor.

Of course it does. By time the WIi U gets mind craft it will be on five consoles two of which have a giant marketshare and will be cheap as hell. Getting Minecraft won't do much or change Nintendo's fortunes that much.

Nintendo needs to be looking more toward the next big hit since were talking DD platforms. Despite all three new consoles having small install bases I foresee them being like the Vita or 3ds which is depsite being small the IB consumes alot of digital content.Nintendo either needs to do exclusive deals with some indies or or get their IP onto to the digital forefront like they did with the Wii and 3DS.
