I have it on Vita, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. A wonderful roguelike with an absurd amount of content, so long as you're willing to dig for it.

I've come across some bugs already. The starting room has been plain white several times, enemies have randomly been invisible, and wall textures have gone missing, leaving them just plain black.
Ij fact I blame the game entirely on my losing to Mom the second time I git to her because she was freaking invisible!

Since posting this I restarted my 3DS and no glitches at all have happened wince. Maybe my game just bugged out?

probably not. It's a Nicalis game, and bugs are their signature feature. The lack of bugs is probably a bug in itself.

Don't know if this was said but can someone enlighten me as to what exactly the controversy is over the content of this game. Please don't just say religious stuff either. Does it mock religion or is its content just to gross you out at times.

It used a religious tale as the "basis" of the story, although it's heavily modified and it's implied that the mother is just crazy.
From that, the game goes mostly very grotesque.
Though most people seem to take offense from the "crazy religious mother" aspect.
from what i know, one of the main differences between this version and the original is some of the rooms are larger as well the graphics being toned up...

@Megumi: Well I've heard the 3ds version is buggy. I've had only one freeze in about 2 hours but I had to shut down my system and there's no forgiving in this game for it. In other words no save points to my knowledge.

You have to start over from scratch every time you die, but you unlcok items as you play that will appear in future play throughs.
If you want to do a certain run that had certain items appear in it, you can input a "seed" which is essentially a password. This will recreate a dungeon. To see the seed of your current dungeon, look at the pause menu. If you write that code down you can input it before you dtart to go through that exact same dungeon again. However, doing so will lock your ability to unlock things for that run, to prevent people repeating lucky runs over and over where they got good items and ended up being OP by the end.

Yeah I didn't realize he was talking about the seeds. Don't really understand the complaints, I never use the seeds tbh. No point if unlocks are locked.
Me neither. I find it to be a waste of a run if you get nothing out of it. Perhaps I'll give one a shot though just to experience a super OP run with a crazy item combo or something.

I had another freeze but found out at the very least it does save at the beginning of the last floor started. Thank goodness because I was super powered lol. I now understand why it had to be New 3ds as just what I had with me was like 15 sprites. Didn't see any slow down either.
