@SkywardLink98 Which was simply not possible on the regular 3DS. Its not that hard to understand.
Nintendo wouldnt miss out ond the possible money if it would be cost efficiant to get these games running properly on the handheld.
The ambassador games used the old leftover GBA coding in the 3DSs DS OS.
They have no sleep mode, no VC menu, and take ages to go back to the home sreen due to them being loaded completely onto the RAM bank.

The biggest problem is, that people simply love to complain. If it would have been the case that tehy are only released on the 3DS, complains would have looked like "but the WiiU needs more attention" or "But there was the GB Player, why no WiiU supprt" etc.

People complain about pretty much everything, with or without a good enough reason. For me, "not running properly" was all it took to not want half baked VC ports of these games on the 3DS.
Maybe it will change with the N3DS, maybe not, i dont really care, as long as these games see the light of day somewhere.

It always was possible they chose not to. (Or chose not to pay someone who could do it).

Not really much different than some Wii U owners complaining about certain 3DS games not being on/coming to Wii U.

Yep, pretty much. People want the content, and they want to enjoy it the way they want, thats just how it is. Thats also just how media consumption is going, so people are going to expect that all the more. Theres certainly nothing wrong with it, if you're reasonable about it.

The way Nintendo handles the VC is just frustrating in general, and with how every game is treated like a big released and come out at a trickle, I think some of the anger is due to the likely hood of them not even trying to do it at all. I understand them wanting to give Wii U owners something special, but the way they handle the VC I wouldn't be surprised if 3DS owners never get GBA games, or have to wait for the next handheld. On top of that, the 3DS should be able to handle it. If the PSP can handle PS1 games and even emulation of certain other platforms, and Nintendo can squeeze Smash bros. onto 3DS, then they should be able to manage GBA emulation.

Well I think they're releasing too many GBA ports of SNES games, and I would rather want the originals. (EXCEPT maybe the DS port of Chrono Trigger!?)
There's like ONE DS game on the Virtual Console so far, with no new ones in sight, and it's free. Not much to get mad about.

The Wii U VC just kind of sucks, period. They need to transfer over all the good stuff from the original Wii's estore!

I wouldn't say I hate these games being on the Wii U. I'm happy that Nintendo is at least providing some way for us to play these games again but I don't like them on the Wii U because that's engineering resources that could have been spent properly bringing them to the 3DS (i.e. full-fledged 3DS VC games with sleep support, etc). I wouldn't want them to do both because that's engineering resources that could be spent bringing other games to the VC.

I prefer portable and older console VC games on a portable platform (even large RPGs) because of the sleep functionality and, while my 3DS rarely leaves the house, I like that I can play it all over the house unlike the Wii U Gamepad. The older I get, the less amount of time I get to sit down in front of a TV for an uninterrupted gaming session. The 3DS allows me to quickly and easily play for a few minutes here and there when I have a chance. I loose this with the Wii U, thus, I prefer to leave the Wii U for the times when I do have a solid hour or two to sit down and play the big, console games with no other distractions. I even prefer NES and SNES VC games on the 3DS for this same reason.

So, when it comes to GBA games that I want to play, I go find the original cart and play it on my DS instead.

Based on your preferences we'd have nothing on the Wii U VC service...FACEPALM

See the thing is, regardless of what anyone says, GBA and DS games can only get the features we expect from the VC if on the Wii U. It's as simple as that. And the problem is that on the 3DS there's not enough power to emulate them and the compatibility mode is pretty average. On the Wii U there's no such problem and ontop of that the "compatibility mode" works pretty well indeed.
