The four games Retro was originally doing all looked different and brilliant. Now they do one at a time.
Amen to that. Retro had so many cool projects back on the GameCube that got canned in favour of Metroid Prime. I would love if they still made their car combat game, Thunder Rally. I haven't played a "car with guns" game since Vigilante 8 (V8) on the N64, the genre needs more love. And the Wii U is ace to couch multiplayer sessions.

Cars with guns? The only game like that I've ever played was Jak X: Combat Racing on the PS2. It was a spinoff of Jak 3--you may want to try those games if Retro's cancellations still have you down.
Maybe Project H.A.M.M.E.R. had some sort of interaction with Wii Crush, but since one of them probably hit a dead end, they just canceled both maybe? (Guessing since you can Crush with a H.A.M.M.E.R. )

Back in the 5th generation, there were at least two different franchises on this "genre" as far as I know. On the N64 you had Vigilante 8 and on the PlayStation there was Twisted Metal. I believe there was also a different game similar to V8 on PC, but I can't recall the name.
I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but what does Vigilante 8 have to do with "Wii Crush"? Does "Wii Crush" sounds like a destruction derby type of game?

I played a game on the PC called "Destruction Derby". It came out for PSX, MS-DOS, Saturn, and N64.
