not the best game ever but a MUST own if you have a Wii

It's a good game, but it's outdone by some of the older ones.

I don't know if Mario Kart Wii is the best game ever i always thought that title belongs to Super Mario Galaxy but i know it will be challenged by New Super Mario Bros Wii

ARE YOU KIDDING!?!?!?!?!?!??! This is not even close to being the best game ever. Super Mario 64 is one of the best games. Super Metroid is one of the best games. You must be crazy out of your mind if you think that this is the best game ever.

I've only played it a little, but I can easily say that it doesn't stand out as a "Best Game Ever". You can't throw around a title like that. It's fun, I'll give it that, but it's a pretty basic formula, and if you have to argue it's finer points to figure if it's the best in it's own series, than it's not the "Best Game Ever".
If I had to pick a best game ever I'd probably still go with Super Mario 64, as well. I know it's kind of old, but in terms of it's influence, it's playabilty even now, it's level design, accessibility to a wide audience, graphics, camera. The largest step forward in video games happened as a result of Mario 64, it's hard to deny it's influence, but unlike other classic milestones like Pac-Man or Resident Evil, it has stood the test of time; you can pick it up now and not feel like "wow, this is really ancient".

Mario kart Wii? It's just the next iteration in a great series. Online helps, but it could also use a graphical jump up or some bigger change before it really stands as an earth shaking classic. Plus the rubber band AI things is really old and needs to be retired.

It's good but Super Smash Bros. Brawl is better.

I love MKW, but it is not the best game ever IMO.

The best game ever? Mario Kart Wii? Super Mario 64? E.T.? This really cannot be answered. Each person determines "the best game ever" for themselves. And everyone has there tastes.

I am a huge fan of the game, and it one that my girlfriend loves to sit down and play as well. Anything that she will play is definately to be considered as a great game, at least in my books. Though it isn't the best game ever, it has probably had the most play time in my wii!

It's the worst Mario Kart ever! The only good thing about it is the online, playing with frineds around the world is fantastic, and it is a bit of fun, but is not even a great game, just a nice game. And it would be a lot better without that stupid lighting cloud .

So true. Everytime I play online I get that darn cloud way too much and of course there's nobody ever around to pass it on to. That cloud is SUCH an annoying item. Without that I'd enjoy Mario Kart Wii online more.

The game isn't bad at all, though, but by no means is this the best game ever. It's not even the best in the Mario Kart series. In fact it's one of the worst in the series, if you ask me. It's still loads of fun though and I wouldn't want to miss out on it.
