Just got my copy in the mail today from Amazon. I am soooo tempted to open it up now but I decide to wrap it up and give it to my son on Christmas morning.

I keep forgetting to check to see if this games has the same flaws as the virtual console games. I know in the virtual console if one person uses one type of controller the other person is forced to do the same (you cannot play a game with one person using the classic controller while the other person uses a Gamecube controller, you have to either both use the classic controller or the Gamecube paddle). I came across that a while back.
I already own the VC versions of these games so I'm not really interested in getting it. Also, I think it's a real shame they didn't port the version that came bundled with Super Mario World on the same cartridge. I think this should have been a DS game instead.

Well the reason they didnt include SMW with it was cause you can get SMW from the virtual console. You cant get the SNES versions of SMB. SMB2, SMB3, or Lost Levels on the virtual console.

Yep, received my copy 2 days ago. I didn't realize this release was going to be for a limited time only, until the other day. When I found that out I looked every where on bestbuy, gamestop, wal-mart, amazon etc. to pre-order and none of them had it. So, I went to target's website and I finally found it. I pre-ordered it on there December 7th and they shipped it out 3 days before it released, I got it earlier than I expected cause I chose the cheapest shipping. I lost my SNES cartridge.

I hate those bar code things too. Here's what you do take out the disc and all the paper material (and I mean all the paper material you don't want it getting stained), get some "Goo Gone", it's an oil based adhesive remover, it won't eat away at the plastic the way an acetone based one will (but it will stain paper with an oil mark),
Put some on the bar code thingy with an eye dropper or a q tip. Let it soak for about 2-5 minutes.
Get a razor blade or a sharp knife and that will peel right off (I use an X-acto knife or a box cutter).
Wipe off oil residue with a damp wash cloth. dry, and put the contents back in the case. Good as new.
I use the stuff because all the used games, music, and DVD stores put stickers and crap all over the cases and I just use it to take it off. It also works good on those security strips (bar code things). But it only works on stuff like metal, plastic, or glass, so that sticker on the box is stuck there. But if your really careful you can use steam to remove it (but I wouldn't risk ruining the box trying to get it off).
You can find "Goo Gone" at most hobby, hardware, and dollar stores, or the cleaning section of a grocery store. A little bit goes a long ways one bottle will last you 1-2 years.
