Topic: I just bought Super Mario All Stars Wii L.E

I was going to pick it up, but it's snowing like crazy, and after reading IGN's description of the content, it really turned me off to it. I was mostly excited about the soundtrack, but 10 of the tracks are just sound effects. Plus I have all these games already on the Virtual Console. The fanboy in me wants it, but the guy who just spent $30 yesterday on 3 PS3 games is telling me to watch my wallet.

If anyone got it today brag about how the US box is superior to all. Not only we get gold but we get a little flip cover at the front!

I decided to buy the necessary cables to play my SNES again instead of buying the Wii version.

Was originally looking forward to it, but decided I could spend my money better elsewhere. I have a rule of thumb not to buy remakes/ports, unless something is significantly different. Though it looks good for someone wanting a blast of nostalgia.

I thought about doing that but being able to sell it for 100 dollars in 20 years isn't even worth it. I'm gonna play it.

It was sold out at two stores finally got one copy at Walmart. Yeah!

^^ Not even 20 years, when it was sold out on Amazon there was copies for $90 before the game even came out. Suit yourselves though whoever doesn't want to get it right now since it won't be available in about a week. Imo something Limited Addition is worth $30, and believe Nintendo when they said it was Limited. Bestbuy only had 20 copies of them and they are not getting any more shipments. Some Gamestop's weren't allowing anymore Pre-Orders because of their limited stock as well.

I picked it up this morning at Target. Sounds like it will be hard to find soon and I didn't want to miss out. They only had three copies! The cashier told me she grabbed one too. We already have All-Stars for the SNES (and the NES originals as well as the GBA ports of 2 and 3) so I was not really sold on buying the same games again. My kids really want the bonus stuff so I snagged it for a Christmas present. It does look like a nice package and it will be nice to play it on the "main" tv.

I'm from the UK and my local Game shop said that they had 600 copies sitting in their stock room on the day it was released here! however SMAS has from what I've gathered done badly in terms of sales in the UK.....

The Gamestop I went to said that if you didn't preorder the game, you wouldn't be able to get a copy. Good thing I did pre-order because they were already sold out. Won't be able to play it until Christmas though, but I can't wait!

Yup, it's really nut's how there is not going to be much out there. The guy at Gamestop told me no more shipments were coming in, he was like, "Believe me when I say this...this game is VERY limited." Makes playing it that much sweeter.
