After the sales on 3DS I'm sure they'll be considering it, I had the wii version tough as hell never did beat it.

Using the Wii U gamepad to move units and manage inventory and such...I can see it working out.
As long as they do half a good a job as they did on Awakening I'd buy it.

We just got a Fire Emblem game, while I'm sure Intelligent has something for Wii U, its probably not Fire Emblem.

I hope so Wii U needs more actual online multiplayer games and I think the Fire Emblem would be a perfect fit!

I would imagine so seeing as the Gamecube and WIi has entries. We know the Fire EMblem X Megaton game is comign so that kind of counts. Other than that we have a few questions about a new FE.

-Would the sequel be on 3DS instead of Wii U due to the success of Awakening.
-If the series does come to Wii U would it stay a SPRG or be changed similar to the wars series hitting gamecube/WIi

Awakening did extremely well do I'd be trying to cultivate the brand with a new 3DS and wii U entry. Still haven;t played Awakening myself but I here good things about it.

The biggest thing I'd like to see in the new Fire Emblem game is a second generation of children. They could have the kids coming back from the future like in Awakening when you pair two people up, but then at some point in the story either 20 years or so would pass, or your avatar would go back through the time portal the other way. This would have all sorts of interesting implications, as the baby versions of the time travelers would have grown up to the age they were when they went back in time, and the versions you knew would be in their 30s and 40s. If a character was particularly old in the past, they may have passed away from old age, or if a character was too young to recruit, they would be old enough after the jump forward. Also, I'd like to see past Fire Emblem characters be recruit-able, and not just as cards. They would speak and participate in the story and converse with other characters just like any other character. This also means that at some point the time traveling would have to be reversed, and everyone would lose their memories, like if someone prevented the invention of the time machine itself in the final act. That means that characters that only exist because of time travel would go away, and your team would be reduced, but the villain would probably be doing this to make endless copies of his minions or even himself so that's probably a good thing.

Gameplay-wise, I'd just like them to keep the changes they made in Awakening, like including an easy difficulty and a casual mode. Heck, maybe casual is default and perma-death only happens on higher difficulties. It'd also be nice to go back and play missions on higher difficulties without starting a new file. Or, if perma-death is a thing, you could change the past by replaying a mission and making sure you don't lose the character you need. Perhaps instead of having temporary save files that could only be used once, they could let us save whenever we want and have as many files as we need, so as to go back a specific number of turns if we want. Or, if they wanted to do things differently, rewind time. Of course, the last mission would remove this ability and play out like a classic Fire Emblem mission. For a game that demands perfection in your moves like Fire Emblem, the time twisting mechanics of both gameplay and story would be a perfect fit. They would need to downsize the element of chance though, otherwise we'd have players rewinding time every time they missed or the other guy got a critical. Maybe rewinding is limited? Must use an item to save? Or for criticals they may use a different system entirely.

If it were me, I'd just make it so that characters either build up a meter and use the critical at will, or automatically have a critical on a certain turn indicated by a countdown, like every third turn or so. As for missing, perhaps everyone has a certain number of dodge counters that regenerate every third turn or so. Pairing up would probably be nerfed a little, as support characters would only block at the players will, and they would just take the damage instead. Support would also only attack if the support relationship was high enough. And yes I know I rambled... sorry.

Due to Awakening's success I imagine the next game will involve the children during their good future. Or perhaps their own children, then we'd also know what pairings are canon from the two previous generations.

It would be neat if there was save data check see who the players character paired up with.

I have absolutely fallen in love with Awakening. Burn me at the stake, but I didn't play any Fire Emblem games until this one, and even the first few hours I was on the fence. After I got over the learning curve (brought me back to my days with FF Tactics) I've been loving it. Rarely do I find myself 20ish hours into a game and hoping that it won't end any time soon.

Forgot to add lol: PLEASE bring a Fire Emblem game to the Wii U.
