Just watched the Gadget Show on channel 5. They did a face off between all three consoles and which one should be the best for Christmas and Nintendo Wii-U won.

PS3 came 3rd
Xbox 360 came 2nd
Wii-U came 1st.

The Gadget Show said that the console was truly next gen gaming for all the family to enjoy. Well done Gadget Show for seeing the potential in the Wii-U.

That the only new console out this year is the one recommended to buy for Christmas. Why? Because nearly everyone who wanted a 360 or PS3 already bought one within the last six years.

^This is about sales predictions, not personal opinion. Personally I'd put the PS2 before the X360 myself but that's not happening.

And yeah, it's the only new console lol, so it's gonna be the console to buy. Handheld that's fundamentally dedicated to gaming will be 3DS still because Sony's handhelds are always undersupported.

If the PS4 and X720 come out next year, then we'll see. Personally, I think Ninty will prosper for a few years (and win overall) but slag at the end. Hopefully that's not the case.

The fact is that the console is far better and more family friendly than the xbox 360 and the crappy PS3. Hell even the old wii outsold them both put together.

Nintendo will live forever far beyond Microsoft and Sony. My prediction is Sony will die first, then eventually Microsoft and lastly Nintendo.

They are facts. Nintendo are the top dogs in the games industry while Sony are probably the worst. I bet their next console will have a tablet thats remarkably similar to the Wii-U's.

Nintendo is the best. They have always been the best and always be the best. Every company has lived in their shadow. Look at how many companies have tried to compete with Nintendo and have failed. Sony and Microsoft are just the next names to add to the list. Wii U will leave the competition in the dust. PS4 and Xbox720 will be lucky to manage any sales cause the Wii U will wow everyone and claim all the sales.
