4. The thing is that if you or others want more 3rd Party on Wii U then you need to support 3rd Party on Wii U. The power is in the consumer's hands. We will have to buy "gimped" versions for 3rd Party for 3rd Parties to see fhe Wii U as a option. If you buy the 3rd Party games on other systems you prove to them you are fine with them not supporting Wii U. Kinda sad we have to suffer through these "gimped versions" but it is the truth.

I'm not entirely sure how broadly "3rd Party" is being used in this conversation, but I would need to know what you mean by "gimped" before I could agree or disagree with that statement.

I own a few multiplatform games on the Wii U and only one of them has issues (bugs) I feel need resolved (The Cave). The other games don't feel like they've been compromised in any way:

Need for Speed U
Ninja Gaiden 3
Warriors Orochi 3
Just Dance 4
Bit.Trip Runner 2
Little Inferno
Lego Batman 2

in my case I'm not too concerned about multi-platform releases - certainly not enough to buy another console to play them on, but I won't turn down a third party release because it lacks online play or DLC which is found on other systems. Whether or not the game is any good is my primary focus, so I guess if "gimped" means lacking DLC or online, I'm cool with that; I wouldn't even complain about it.

Basically I added "gimped" because so many people say they won't buy a game if it is missing content on the Wii U and my point is that you prove 3rd Party right when you don't buy their games on Wii U.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Guys, face it - CoD and Madden rule the roost. If Wii U doesn't have those games, or at least a large population of people who play those games, then Wii U is missing out on millions upon millions of sales. And honestly, the mindset is so against Nintendo right now that nothing, in my opinion, other than Zelda or Smash Brothers will be enough to so much as turn the head of any 20-something or teenager Nintendo's way.

This ginormous age group thrives on social media like Twitter and ask.fm, and I can guarantee you that most kids that age aren't tweeting about hopping into Wind Waker or 3D World for some rollicking action - they're tweeting about hopping into CoD team deathmatch games on their Xbox One or PS4. Nintendo isn't cool anymore with a very large swath of gamers, and anything less than forcing gamepads into their hands will do almost nothing to get their attention.

... now get off my lawn? Or something like that.
