I can see a Metroid game coming from a collaboration with Id Software strangely.
F-Zero may come in the future, possibly from the Mario Kart guys or something, but it will probably have a severely reduced roster, no custom tracks, no custom cars, and no real story mode. On the upside, they'll probably have an even mix of old and new tracks.
I can't see Starfox coming back unfortunately, unless they went the Adventures route again. The gameplay formula from 64 was very much a one-off, and wouldn't sell well in the modern market. I can see a much smaller developer making a cheap eshop sidescrolling shooter Starfox though, much in the vein of Star Soldier, or perhaps Sin and Punishment Star Successor as something more similar to 64. Still, hard to imagine these titles being anything more than cheap eshop stuff.
If that's the attitude that Nintendo has that I kind of hope these series come back, despite liking digital games as a whole. Nintendo is probably the one company that makes me wish they were #1 in the market or going out of bussiness all at the same time. But I guess this is the company that think's selling $15 for a rom hack is okay.

Well the game in question is pretty much a rom hack ala Super Mario Crossover where the Game code is tweaked to do things you couldn't do in the original game. Now the term ROM hack might be alittle too harsh since everything about the game is updated, but I don't think its worth the $15 Nintendo is charging.

10 is my hot point for the price. My main problem is that Nintendo for all its wanting to embarace the digital future barley hosts sales for its own digital content.

Starfox turning into an overhead scrolling shooter would be a huge step backward.
I wouldn't be upset to get a Starfox 64 style game with new levels only on the eShop.
I imagine Retro Studios is working on a new Metroid Prime styled Metroid game for the Wii U right now, utilizing all the new staff they recently acquired from id, naughty dog and vigil.
Ok then here's a question I have now. 3D world right now isn't selling well on the Wii U yet so does this mean that Nintendo will slowly abandon Mario like Samus or Fox McCloud?

If Mario continued to not sell well after serveral games, yes. Not after 1 game didn't do as well as hoped.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Ohhh that sets me on a path of wishful thinking.
But! Having 'Mario' in the title, is more a blessing than a curse 9 out of 10 times. Usually what happens is Nintendo puts out a game early in the life of a console, then sits back and reaps the benefits for years to come. So I think it's more a case of wait and see, as more consoles are distributed I expect sales will improve. It might be a gradual thing, but the alluring graphics and effervescent joy can only grow on the masses (my opinion).

No, because he just had a title released last year that sold over 2 million copies and MK8 is coming which is (and was always) going to sell more than SM3DW.
