I happen to like Tanooki Mario and all of the tracks except maybe Dragon Driftway. With Dragon Driftway, it's not my favorite but I don't really hate it either. I also use the Jeep-looking kart a lot just because it looks cool. I wish Battlemode would be fixed but I doubt it's going to happen. The Mercedes content seems kind of goofy being in Kart but it's not a big deal. I was happy with the content I got for the money I have spent on the DLC. I also feel that Nintendo presented clearly what was in the DLC when if launched.

I hope they patch the fire hopping, way too many cheaters online... Battle areas would be nice and maybe future DLC?
I don't think fire hopping really helps you out much online. It's too chaotic to make much use of. It's more something to use in Time Trial.
I see it all the time when I play WorldWide, I seen people use it to where it's impossible to catch up to them. The only way to stop them is with the blue shell, but they're too far ahead to catch up,They mostly use Bowser and Mortar for it.
Or maybe you're too lenient.
The tracks were terrible (except for Mute City), the characters useless, and the "new" parts had the same stats as certain other parts. So, nothing of value - especially not its asking price. I already went over this on the release article, so I won't repeat myself.
So am I wrong in saying Mario Kart 8 will never satisfy you?
Personally I think MK8 is fantastic and many tracks are a lot of fun.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I generally don't have problems beating firehoppers and I of course don't do it myself (I use bikes so I wouldn't have the choice anyway ). The key is to disrupt their progress early on so they don't have a chance to get too far ahead. Sure you generally have to limit your character choices but that problem would exist even if firehopping didn't.
