(exept pc)
wii u watch dogs:22 gb (on european eshop)
xbox 360 :7 gb
xbox one:14 gb
ps4:18 gb
ps3.14 gb
(these are rounded to the nearest ten)
plus the conspiracy dlc and accsess granted dlc are a different purchase which we are also getting
so maybe it isn't a straight port from the 360 or ps3?
or maybe dlc is included?
the bad blood dlc is 3.6 gb
what do you think about this?

I'm sure minimal Gamepad functionality still bumps it up a little, but its a surprising number nonetheless. I'm still not getting my hopes up until i see it in action, though. I really want to see something cool with the Gamepad.

Good thing I would be getting this at retail!

Got married.

The Day 1 DLC will be all it gets, and no it's not included. It will never get Bad Blood. Ubisoft has already said that it will not support the Wii U version after launch.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

when did they say that?

Same as in PS4. Makes you wonder why the One version is smaller. Maybe optimization/compression is better on MS's box?

I would not be surprised if the DLC is "on the disc" and you just buy a key to unlock it. We will know for sure tomorrow.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

At least it would seem to suggest that the Wii U is maybe getting higher res textures than the Xbox 360?

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

LOL, I still won't be getting this game for ANY platform ever.

Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

It's probably 7gb of original code + 11gb of xbox360 emulation. I doubt anyone will buy it at Ubisofts rip off price. Has anyone seen any WiiU reviews, or is Ubisoft holding back review copies (normal when they release bug fested conversions)?

It depends. If Wii U is someone's only console and they have even the slightest interest in this game, I would encourage them to buy it. The only way you can complain about the price or delay is if you also have an Xbox One and PS4.

Or an Xbox 360 or a PS3 or a PC...

Or a Wii U, because this is terrible publishing and it stinks on principle.

I can't believe ubisoft, they are honestly the worst games publisher in the industry at the moment. Do Nintendo not have a say in when game footage can be shown?

Well, even if the Wii U version was delayed, it's still probably better than the Xbox 360/PS3 version, even without DLC. I was going to edit in PC, but meh... The entire point is the GamePad is the main selling point, so even if you have the other consoles, the reason for buying the Wii U version would ultimately be the GamePad.

If you think it stinks in principal, then that would be ignoring that the GamePad is a thing that some people want, and they actually spent any given amount of time to make sure that is a feature OR Ubisoft is a s***y publisher, so we shouldn't care about the game on any platform.

So, there are 5 choices:
1. You dislike Watch Dogs
2. You dislike Ubisoft
3. You own another console and want GamePad support, but are disappointed by the price after delay
4. You want Watch Dogs for Wii U, even after delay
5. Indifferent

I choose 3. There is actually a chance that the game will do well, otherwise they wouldn't have put it on Wii U, and that's still taking all the money and development time into acount, even with the delay.

There's no logical explanation for Ubisoft taking 6 months to put a map on a Gamepad. It's even more bizarre when you think about why Ubisoft would position this against Smash. It's not like they didn't know it was coming out. The timing was intentional, and it is therefore intentionally being sent out to die.

But why? This was never going to sell well obviously, but it could have sold better than it will now. It's too late. It's too expensive. It's likely not getting post-launch support. I keep trying to think of why. It never had to have all of these disadvantages. It could have shipped during the massive software drought from June-August. It could have included the DLC. It could have been $50. It boggles my mind why 3rd parties keep doing this, intentionally positioning Wii U ports in a way that they're as unappealing as they could possibly be.

I can't fathom any benevolent reason for intentionally publishing a game in such a way to sell as few copies as possible, so yeah, I think Ubisoft is a bad publisher.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Gerald

I still think £50 is too pricey for a game that was not built from ground up for the Wii U. However, if they have made the effort to optimise to the Wii U (like NFS), then maybe it would be worth it if you hadn't already got another version. But the fact there is no footage and no review copies sent out (I assume), tells me that this will most likely be a bug fest, and they are releasing it 1 week before smash, do UBI really want this to sell, or an excuse not to support Wii U ?

I probably would have gotten it on the Wii U if it had launched alongside the other versions. For multiple reasons. Mostly because it would have been a new game at a time when there weren't many games to play on the system. It would have also been one of the better versions of the game for me to get given that the PC version had its issues, I don't have a PS4/XBOne and the GamePad could have added something. It was also at a point where my trust of Ubisoft was still relatively high because it was in that just-post AC4 period.

But now? It's not a new game, the hype has died down, I can get it elsewhere cheaper, Ubisoft have given me plenty of reasons why I shouldn't give them money AND I have plenty of other games to pick from. I mean I could get Watch Dogs..... or I could instead spend that money on Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad, Far Cry 4, Dragon Age, GTAV or even just spend it on Amiibos or something else entirely. Why would I get Watch Dogs when there are so many good reasons not to?

Watch Dogs release date was announced in Sep before Smash Bros was announced in Oct.
