Fair to say that all but the puritans think that the beginning sequence of Twilight Princess was drawn out. Given that that they ironed out pacing issues with Wind Waker in it's HD remake you'd assume that the same is on the table with Twilight Princess. If that means trimming back or somehow making optional one or more of the three early sequences? Then I wouldn't have an issue with it.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
"There are too many damn puzzles in my Zelda game!!!"
BTWs, I hope they add a mandatory hour-long graze / watering sequence for the goats, during which Rusl discusses the writings of Hyrule's version of Kant. Oh, and it would be right at the start of the game. Too, so by your standards the intro would be shorter: you get right out into Hyrule Field.
I don't know why people want a HD version of Twilight Princess so badly. The game haven't aged over a decade yet. I prefer Link awaking to get the HD treatment.
Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

@Hendesu: I think it's more a case of we've known it's happening ever since the leak so why not get excited about how it could be improved. As for Link's Awakening, I think that (and all the other 2D Zelda games) would be better as a re-imagining like how A Link Between Worlds is a re-imagining of A Link to the Past.

I prefer any other Nintendo franchise getting the HD treatment than just another Zelda game. TP HD... A remake of a game I can play right now on Wii U or Wii or GameCube. I'll eventually get TP HD but its totally not day one buy status.... Unless Nintendo convince me that it's worthy of day one.
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

How does an 8-bit game get the HD treatment?
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, F Zero GX (with added online), Mario Golf, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Wave Race. All games more deserving an HD remake.
"There are too many damn puzzles in my Zelda game!!!"
Nobody is complaining about puzzles. The problem was that they were tedious non-challenges that just dragged on. Topped off by a bit where you run around and collect balls of light. This all before you even get to the first dungeon. That entire first section isn't bad it's just that it overstays its welcome and delays the reason why where playing the game.
If they're going to do a HD remake why not clean up the one part which was clearly out of whack. The purists are going to whine regardless so there's no harm in annoying them just a bit more. Plus if they do fix that section it'll be a better game for the people who aren't so precious about it.

2D games aren't as easy to remake. Essentially what you'd have to do is replace pixel art with higher resolution 2D sprites or 3D renders. Which means either drastically changing the artwork or at the very least interpreting it in a way that may not be how everyone remembered it. Link's Awakening is my personal favourite Zelda game, I don't want a remake. Infact A Link Between Worlds is almost its sequel and I'm fine with just having that.
With a 3D game and in particular the more recent era 3D games? It's pretty easy to get an improvement without losing anything. Particularly in that Dreamcast to Wii power bracket where the visuals were advanced enough that it was clear what it was supposed to look like. It's just that they had low resolution textures and models and were rendered with a small amount of effects, low resolution frames and often at low frame rates. Twilight Princess in particular was a Gamecube game ported to the Wii more than it was a Wii game. So it's assets were bellow par even for a Wii game.
Also, funny thought; how calamitous would it be if Nintendo posthumously added voice acting into Twilight Princess HD?
Now you think Nintendo or Aonuma dying is funny? You are one sick fellow.
Oh come now; I've already made the 'Iwata 2 soon' joke in a previous post.
Anyway, what I call climbing a pillar to call a hawk to grab a baby cradle to trade for a fishing rod to fish up a fish to cause a runaway cat to return home to get a bottle of milk is a 'puzzle.' Because it is.
That's probably not gonna happen. They want you to do the chores, before you get the sword. Besides, maybe they can just turn it into a touch screen mini game with the GamePad and make it better for you.
They didn't do anything major to Wind Waker either, but what little was done greatly improved the pacing of the last act of the game. What I've suggested, making the opening fluff optional to improve pacing, is not really any different.
Well, I personally liked the rupee collecting and didn't mind the slower sail. By the end of the game, most people have at least the big wallet and there's literally nothing to spend rupees on. It also gave reason to go find more of the treasure charts, so making the triforce pieces easier to get literally cut out parts of how the game was designed to be played. You might as well not even grind or explore everywhere to find items in RPG games, by comparison.
I'm not totally against the swift sail, but the slow sail just seemed to make the sailing a more legitimate and relaxing pace, IMO, The only thing I thought was better, was the wind changing direction by itself, and using the Wind Waker to change the wind direction every time is about as tasking as doing the songs in any other Zelda game if you are warping back and forth or the time in MM.

See: Duck Tales: Remastered
A remake and a HD re-release are two different things.
Well, we could consider Wind Waker HD to be mostly an HD rerelease, but it's also part remake and demake. Ducktales is still both a remake and HD rerelease, but what's the point in discussing it that much detail? I got Ducktales Remastered when it was on sale for $2.49. Played it 3 times and can't go back to it, and I've played WW HD like 6 times w/ 3 times 100%, and can't go back to that either. The same thing would happen if TP HD came out and I bought it.

Perhaps you should look up the word "posthumously". It involves after-human death
I call it a tedious task. Granted it's nowhere near the level of herding goats. What does that accomplish? Nothing useful or required aside from a piece of heart much later in the game.

I would love it if they included Link's Crossbow Training HD. It's a game I still play from time to time and I think it was a really cool spin-off. It would certainly add to the value and you don't need the Wii Zapper to enjoy it.

Perhaps you should look up the word 'personification.' It means humans speak of things in human terms. For a game posthumously means post-release (at least as far as good games are concerned.

You get a bottle. Early in the game. So you can carry consumables right from the start, unlike previous titles.
I know it's impossible, but I would absolutely love if they re-did Twilight Princess into the artstyle of the original ZeldaU demo (When he fights the giant spider). That was the first Zelda thing in about 10 years that was exciting and had me on the edge of my seat!
