Topic: Super Smash Strikers (Football/Soccor) Anyone?

I like this idea. Instead of just having random characters, teams by their affiliation would be awesome. Anyway, it would be a stretch to have this kind of game play though.

I honestly would just love another Strikers game on Wii U.

Heh, this reminds of a time where a thought popped into my head: "If Mario Superstar Baseball had a Kid Icarus team, who'd be in it?"
This idea is a good one and I rather like it. Only problem is Team Lylat's Pigma who I think dies in Star Fox: Assault.

Thanks for the support of my weird idea guys! Just had another one, special character vicotory/defeat animations/cutscenes. For example, let's say Dark Samus scores a goal. A toad will come over to it with a microphone, asking for an interview. Instead, Dark Samus grabs the toad with it's tendril arm, and flings it out of the stadium! O.O I think different animations for wins/loses would add more personality to the characters. And remember, they would all fit into the Mario Strikers universe and be cartoonized. Also, Ganondorf turning into Ganon and rampaging across the stadium after being defeated would be hilarious.

Any other character you can think of to take his place? I've only played Star Fox 64.

I'd prefer FIFA or Pro Evo but I'd take any half-decent footie game

I'm not really a Star Fox guy myself but either Star Wolf's Panther or Katt Monroe who is neutral but has a crush on Falco. Either of them could work, I guess.

This reminds me of when me and my friends invented a little Smash Bros. game mode in Brawl using the level editor.
Create a box stage, but not concealed. Two evenly sized gaps on each side to represent the goals. Hazards, structures and platforms all over the place to add variety. Then we set the only item to Soccer Ball and the percentages to 300% so everything was hectic. With any character capable of playing (The fastest and air dynamic was the best) and 2 players in a team of two. And their you have it. It was pretty fun. Just get as many soccer balls as possible through the respected goals. Sometimes we lost track.

I've done that before too lol. The best part of the stage editor in Brawl wasn't the levels per say, but what you could do with them. I wish I still had the imagination and amount of friends that I had back then. Oh college, why hast thou taken away my imagination?

Good idea. Yeah, I've never really loved any other Nintendo franchise except for Mario, Zelda (occasionally), Pokémon, Kirby, Animal Crossing, and Metroid. I personally don't care for the 3d Metroid games (excluding the original Prime) because the first person view kind of messes with me. There's just too much clutter. I've dabbled in Pikmin, Earthbound, F-Zero, Star Fox, and Fire Emblem. I plan on picking up Awakening around Christmas time though.

Another note in regard to the Metroid team. It was definitely hard trying to come up with characters for it. I thought having an actual Metroid would be cute (possibly the baby Metroid?). And Ridley was kind of obvious. The other characters (the Hunters) I was kind of meh about. I've been playing Prime 3 lately for the first time, and I'm not really feeling it. However, those seem like the only characters who could feasibly work well enough for a "Metroid team". I could have put in Adam, but people don't seem to care too much for Other M lol. (I didn't hate it personally, but it wasn't the best.) SA-X is there because Fusion is awesome.
