Topic: Super Smash Strikers (Football/Soccor) Anyone?

So I was thinking about how awesome it would be for a new Mario Strikers game to be released, when I realized how much more awesome it would be if Nintendo's all stars came together again for a different kind of event. Super Nintendo Strikers. The game would be similar to Mario strikers, with captains getting special attacks/goal strikes or whatever, and getting to choose who would be on your team. However, this game would be more franchise specific than Smash Bros. Meaning that only certain characters can be on certain teams. Also, every character would be stylized to fit into the Mario Strikers universe. (Which means that characters like Samus, Link, and Marth would be more cartoony to fit in.)They would each wear their team's colors and jerseys. The player can choose their team and captain, and from there they can choose three other characters within that franchise to be on their team for each match. So let's go! And yes, I know this is just a huge pipe dream. Also, the game would DEFINITELY support amiibo.

you really thought this out. Maybe instead of fixed teams, you build your team and the other team is randomly asseembled so some of the odder characters can be excluded (the ones with no legs or arms)

I have waaay too much time on my hands. I kind of just didn't want to copy and paste Smash 4's roster into this, so I gave each franchise it's own special "team" per say. But yeah, I think the less complicated way would be to let the player customize their team with whoever they want lol.

there'd be alot of modes that'd be cool. Like keep away and foul shoot modes.

An interesting idea. It probably wouldn't happen, but you seem to have a pretty good idea as to who should be in.

That is a realllllly good idea for characters and teams I'd be happy to see them do this with any sport game basketball, baseball or American football!!

I doubt they would have that many teams, and I especially doubt they would give a lot of attention to the more obscure IPs, but I do like this idea.

I tried to include a bunch of teams to make some people happy. Again, just a pipe dream. Realistically, I think they would just go for Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby, Metroid, Star Fox, and Kid Icarus.

There could also be Daily/Weekly tournaments,Continental/International cups (like how I think Wii Sports Club works).How about a Story Mode similar to Be A Pro from FIFA, where you start off as an amateur playing 5 a side.For example,choose Mario and you start off playing.on patchy mushroom fields against Goombas and Shy Guys,then work your way up through the leagues to eventually take on Bowsers All Stars Choose Link and you start off playing in Ordon Village against the locals,eventually taking on Ganondorfs Warriors and so on for each franchise.

It's a good option for the football games that Wii U lacks of. Very good idea.

Whether a Mario or Nintendo Strikers it'd be a good addition to the Wii U's library and would help with the lack of sports titles on the system. I loved the previous Mario Strikers games, so it'd be a day one buy for me.

An adventure/story mode to unlock characters would be very interesting! Maybe recruiting different captains and such like in Mario Baseball would be great! Also a Master hand team final boss. O.O Master hand and the Wire-frame team.

Gotta keep it E+10. Dat amiibo support tho.

Okay, so a couple more ideas I had. The game would support amiibo of course, and each team would wear their team's colors. So imagine Ridley in an orange Jersey, or Ganondorf in a green one. O.O Also because there are so many characters, and this is a spiritual successor to Mario Strikers, only the captains would have special kicks (again, like in Strikers). I think this would give the game some uniqueness instead of having characters share special moves, or create "clone characters". An example of this would be Mario and Luigi BOTH having a fireball kick or whatever. (which would most likely happen, because the roster in this is huge.) So it would be best for only the captains to have these abilities in order for them to stand out.

This needs to happen! It would be amazing! You really thought this one out. Plus it would be much more interesting than Mario Strikers, having a lot of other Nintendo characters and all. Although I doubt whether Nintendo would consider it but their latest move to include Link and Villager in Mario Kart plus the obviously popular Smash franchise, helps.

Plus it would bring a crowd that is obsessed with soccer/football while also catering to people who are not all over FIFA and would like something different!
