Those HD shots look good. I still think this game doesn't compare to Mario Kart, but hot damn. I'm glad they're taking ques from the Galaxy Games by giving it a semblance of narrative even if its just bowsers up to no good, so Mario and Friends to the rescue.

Plus things are mixed up a little more then usual with Peach NOT being the one in trouble for once.

The thing that screams at me is the amount of variety in this game. I was going to pick this one up anyway with it being a Mario title. But since the Nintendo Direct trailer I am counting the days to release. Really looking forward to this now.

A walkthrough by Nintendo of one of the level's of the game.

I did a double take for a second thinking he was using a 360 controller.

But when Link does it, no one complains!

so we can safely assume Mario is related to Ganon, since Link is like Bowser?

That's an armoured Big Bully? Never noticed that!

But I do have to say, the above battle looks a lot better than the boring ones the Bully bosses got in Mario 64. God those sucked.

I agree. All you had to do is push/punch them in the game then into the lava, kind of dull and lame. But they made them better in this one!

It's nice to see the little cutscene in the 20th picture, just like 3D Land. It had a lot of them!

I'll admit the trailer was MUCH better at showing off the game than the E3 one did, but I'm still iffy about this game. I'm definitely not buying it for $60 though..

The only question that remains is why is Bowser more interested in taking a fairy princess than capturing Peach? Do the faries serve a purpose to his evil scheme or is he just doing it for variety?

You probably wont be buying it for a long time then, at least new anyway.

I have never seen peoples opinions of a game change so much as on the " Neogaf Super Mario 3-d world" thread, they love the game now and some of them are saying they would buy a Wii U just to play it.

Neogaf is weird and fickle like that.
