Here's something not many people have discussed yet: the upcoming fifth installment to the Paper Mario series. It's coming and you all know it is. Do you guys think it'll be announced at E3 2014? I think that it should return to the Paper Mario N64/TTYD style, but implement new additions of course. I really want it to take advantage of the Wii U Gamepad because there aren't very many games that do so. Partners should be included, as well as at least four playable characters. It should have an actual plot with new enemies and environments, too. Overall, if a new Paper Mario title is announced at E3 2014, then I hope it returns to the original style of Paper Mario titles. What do you guys think?

If it is announced at E3, it's gonna get pre-ordered by me the very next day. I've been a fan of the series since it's very start and I'd love nothing more than a Wii U version

Ah well sod it, any excuse for me to write how TTYD is still to this day my #1 Nintendo game of all time. Frankly I want a spiritual sequel to it, but the best thing about that series is that no game is the same, for better or worse.

I meant that it'll come at some point. I never said it'll come relatively soon.

Eh... I dunno, it wouldn't be smart for them to develop a Sticker Star sequel since Sticker Star wasn't that well-received by both fans and critics.
Your right, they should make Super Paper Mario 2. It sold the most and is only 2 points behind TTYD on Metacritic

I still maintain that my idea is the best. That they go back to what made the first 2 games work, while adding the grid mechanics from Radiant Historia.
If this game comes to fruition, Rosalina will probably be in it. Nintendo really wants her in the spotlight with Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser (oh, and Toad too)

I haven't gotten to play much Paper Mario but i would prefer a re-worked Sticker Star sequel than another Mario platformer lol
Paper Mario N64 and TTYD weren't platformers and were better than Sticker Star.

@TopLaytonsHat I think if Nintendo were to make a game around Rosalina, it'd probably be story based. I'd want them to take us through her whole journey from her beginning to the present.

Miyamoto has been working with development teams on U games that specifically use the Gamepad and will be showcasing them at E3. I could imagine a Paper Mario being one of those games that fully utilizes the Gamepad.
