I actually loved "Paper Mario Sticker Star", technically first game in the series for me.

Wario has his own games, unless you meant he should be included in a Paper Mario game. Then sure, why not?

@Rosalina Yeah it should definitely be story-driven and can have her travelling around the cosmos and show how she gets her ship and meets the Lumas. I could see it being a puzzle platformer.

Or how about a stylized RPG, where you play as Rosalina as a child? Your partners can be various Lumas or space creatures that she meets. It could have the same writers from the Mario and Luigi RPG series, and would be a comedic RPG. What I have in my head actually is similar to child of light

Personally, despite being a huge fan of Paper Mario, I kind of feel like the concept has run its course. While I definitely the timing is about right for a Mario RPG to be announced for the Wii U, I'm hoping to see a new approach. If they do decide to return to Paper Mario, though, I hope to see a dramatically updated visual style, as the last three Paper Mario games have looked more or less the same. Sticker Star had that really nice looking artwork actually cut out of paper. It would be nice to see an actual game look like that.

To be completely honest, I haven't actually completed SPM myself. But it's not because I got bored. SPM was one of my sister's first video games, so I wound up helping her with a massive portion of it, and as a result, I played a lot of her file. Since I had seen the plot, I went ahead and watched chuggaaconroy's LP as well (one of his best). So I kind of feel like I've completed the game twice already, so I'm not really interested in completing my file (I think I'm in the Overthere).

I would be ecstatic if they announced a new Paper Mario for WiiU. I've played all of them except TTYD (don't kill me:P) and enjoyed them all in their own way. When they do make the new one I, like most of everyone else, would like them to return to the original format. Here's my thoughts on the ones I've played:

PM64: When I was very young I would play an emulated version that someone gave my dad:P I remember loving it, and I would play it as much as I could. I got it again recently, but I haven't played it much. When it releases on the WiiU virtual console I plan on playing through the whole thing.

SPM: I know this will change when I finally play TTYD or when I finish PM64, but as of now this is definitely my favorite of the series. I loved the story, overworld, characters, and nearly everything else about it. Just thinking about it makes me want to play it again.

Sticker Star: I still haven't finished this one simply because I don't feel motivated to. I've enjoyed most of what I've played so far, but I definitely have some issues with this. I miss the story. Sticker Star's story is somewhat heartless. It feels like something that would come out of a New Super Mario Bros. game. It disappointed me. Another thing I missed was the partners. I know that most would argue that the Pixls in SPM weren't really partners, but IMO there still definitely more fun than just having Kersti (or whatever her name is). The last thing I didn't like was the overworld and characters overall. The overworld felt far less creative than the other titles and felt, again, like something that would come out of New Super Mario Bros. The characters in Sticker Star are hardly present. Instead of funny, interesting, intriguing characters we get thousands of Toads. While it might not sound like it, I still did enjoy this game a lot. It just wasn't nearly as fun as the other entries in the series.

When they create the new one these are the things I'd like:
1. A great story like what SPM had.
2. An awesome creative overworld with original locations.
3. A battle system similar to the first two games
4. Partners with personalities
5. Awesome original characters
6. This one doesn't matter as much, but I'd love to see Rosalina and all the Lumas have a part in the game.

Just a thought.. if there is now a Mario Maker and there have been RPG makers what about a Paper Mario Maker? Think about it...

Capcom at E3: Guys we're sorry about how we've been treating Mega Man so we're gonna make it up to you by releasing the Mega Man Cancelled Collection with all the titles we cancelled in the condition they we're in just before we pulled the plug. Now who wants Street Fighter X Monster Hunter?

Just a thought, what if we could use the game pad to sort of fold Mario and other things into different shapes to solve puzzles?

I know I posted this before somewhere but when Nintendo makes the next Paper Mario game first off I want them to take the main strength from each game after the original: TTYD-gameplay and sense of adventure, SPM-a gripping story and multiple powers(pixels) SS-uh... graphics(like everything really was made out of arts and crafts) and... secrets maybe?

After that bring back partners, maybe even letting you pick from a roster who goes with you, multiple weapons(like the stickers except they aren't one time uses but equipable), badges and above all else bring back The Incredible Mr.L. BAM!! Next Paper Mario game.

"Expand on what made the first two games good" is the best answer for what a new Paper Mario game should be. The 3rd game we essentially never got. Like I loved Super Paper Mario but we don't need more than one of those.

I said it would be cool to combine it with the gameplay mechanics of Radiant Historia, but very few people played that game (tragically) so I should explain that. In Radiant Historia, the enemies would be on a 3X3 grid and your attacks depended heavily on that fact. The main tactic was frequently to get a combo going with intentionally getting your partners more turns in a row so you could get a strong combo on the enemies. And in general you would do different things that would attack different parts of this grid or even change where characters are (sometimes even launching them in the air!). A Paper Mario game wouldn't need to copy that necessarily, but the idea could be a cool way to add some more complexity to the game without becoming too complex.
