Hi ladies and gents.I'd like to buy NFSMWU but it seems hard to find or just plain expensive. There is the German version for a decent price on e bay. I live in the UK so if I bought the German version, apart from menu language, can anybody see a reason to avoid? I'd also like to know if there is still an online community for this game. Thanks for reading.
I'm a stupid American, so I may not be the best source. However, near as I can tell, if it's a PAL version of the game, you should be able to play it. I don't think they region lock between Germany and the UK. I would also be entirely shocked if there was any kind of thriving online community for this game. But maybe you should wait for a more educated response than mine.
Dont know if Online is still activ. it seems to get a few Miiverse posts each day so i dont think its a ghost town, but its probably not bustling. even so, id recommend the game for the single player itself. its probably the best 3rd party port ever made for Wii U if you can ignore DLC
I managed to get a sealed copy a couple of weeks ago for 20 pounds off Amazon UK but it wasn't direct from them. They wanted 35 I think. It just arrived not long ago so haven't had the chance to play it yet but text on box is all in German. Can't see there being any problems but I wouldn't expect there to be much going on online.
Best on Amazon so far is £30 including postage. E shop is £44......ouch! Might just go for the German version and keep on the right hand side of the road 😉.
The eShop pricing is pretty ridiculous, same with Fifa 13, which is still the same price as when it launched. (Not that I'm interested in Fifa, but still. ).
I live in the Netherlands and have imported regularly from the UK (and I know German games work here too), so the other way around should be fine too.
The in game language won't be problem as it's set by your WiiU settings, so you'll be able to read the menu's in english.
As for online, I've found that it's not that busy. Besides, the single player game is way better and will take quite a bit of time to get 100% completion.
Quick update. Dizzy-boy you were spot on. Got the game today all shiny & new for £20 and it defaulted to English. The only difference was the writing on the case. Cheers to all who posted.
Just a couple of tips,if you go to hodge's airfield you can use what's there to get pro on some of the parts.
Also, there are three hidden warp pipes that contain Mario, Peach and Luigi themed cars. One is just over the edge of the cliff by the light house. Another is near the ford focus at hodges airfield and the last is on a building site.
