Wow, that's sad. It's like MS is that poor awkward kid that wants everyone to be their friend, yet can't quite figure out that it takes more than just walking up to someone and asking them to be best friends.
That was the exact thought going through my head.

Damn, they must truly be desperate to pull a stunt like that, it's not Nintendo's fault they practically murdered themselves this year. I laughed during Sony's E3, they basically committed murder on screen and the Victim was Microsoft.
Same here. You could literally see the murderous glee in Tretton's eyes and smile when he was making the "you can play used games" announcements and such.
so on one hand we have sony paying to advertise PS4 and PSV on amazon pages for Nintendo products, and on the other hand we have Microsoft store reps seeing a crowd of people trying out the WIi U and trying to sell their product to them too...
I would personally be more worried about the first one, which has been ongoing for quite a while.
Wow, I read about all this this morning. Shameful really, I've never had someone come up to me and say that I should get a competitors product instead of a Nintendo product, but if anyone does that to me I'll tell them F-off, seriously that is bad business practice and well to be honest they kind of deserve it seeing as Microsoft fans have always questioned why I like Nintendo and that I think the Xbox is pretty much just a FPS machine and nothing else.
You know to be honest, I don't really tell people what I think because everyone has the right to an opinion, instead I have solely relied on "karma" to do it's thing, you know eventually I knew this was going to happen, it was just a matter of when.

At first when I saw this I was thinking, why so bad about putting up a banner ad there, then I saw they sent a guy to distub people in line and tell them to pre-order a Xbox One. Yeah, that is kind of low.

I get the immpression you would be more worried about the latter if it was Sony, and the former was MS instead. What on earth is supposed to be wrong with a banner ad a on a webpage. That's called business as usual, nothing dirty about it.
You know you're desperate for sales when you send a guy to bother people in line to play demos on a different system. "Why stand in line to play a free demo when you can preorder a DRM-laiden, media-before-games console for muchos monies?" Award winning argument there.
I'm pretty okay.

I don't know guys, it's from 4chan, they could easily launch out some trolls But then again, neither would I put this past Microsoft. They didn't just get cold reception, they got whatever-freezes-hell-reception...
The way he keeps looking over at the people playing WiiU you can tell in his mind he is thinking 'damn that Mario Kart looks fun... I wish I could jump in line to have a go at that mofo'
That's kind of harsh, Crash Nitro Racing apparently got average reviews rather than terrible ones, and wasn't an Xbox exclusive.
But WaveBoy's point made me laugh. Indeed, if Nintendo's seen as too dependant on first party games, then Microsoft's too dependant on third party ones. That's why only Nintendo will make decent mascot fighting games (Smash Bros), and why only them and certain third parties will make decent mascot racing games like Mario Kart.
Companies promote their product all the time so what?
Let me put it this way. If Maccas put a store next to a KFC or had an ad running after any KFC ad that would be fine. If a customer walked into a KFC with some Maccas that's ok but people might raise their eyebrows a bit. If they had some leaflets at the door of the KFC that's probably being a little bit rude but I'm not sure people would have a huge problem.
If however Maccas paid someone to wear a Macca's uniform and stand at a KFC telling people to get Maccas instead... I think most people would think that was very rude indeed. The KFC manager would kick them out and the people in there, having made up their mind to get KFC, would be annoyed by it. Same thing here with this MS dude. If I'm going to play a Mario Kart demo I'm don't want someone standing there telling me I shouldn't be enjoying it.
I hope some of you are intelligent enough to realize this was likely done on a local level and has little to do with the company as a whole. You think Don Mattrick himself called this one man out of all the Best Buys in the country and said..
SAVE US FROM THAT WII U BRO
Of course not. If this was a regular thing, we'd hear more about it. For all we know, it was a Microsoft employee that works at Best Buy and decided on his own to go ask these people about the Xbox.
I'm enjoying the Microsoft hate train more than anyone, but its ridiculous to attribute this to the entire company and say they're soo desperate. If they're sending out this many people to Best Buy for the Wii U, they'll need a few thousand more employees for when their real competition launches this fall.
Although this guy will probably divorce his 360 to marry the ONE
LOL! What a character. He was looking for the perfect partner all of his life, and now, he has finally met the ONE!
The guy will be widowed (can you use widowed for men, idk) as soon as support is pulled for the ONE.
Yeah he's gonna be mad when the ONE leaves and takes everything he worked hard for away. The poor guy will be left with nothing... Not even a prenup will help save this mofo

While I agree it is ridiculous to harp on this, the original source cites multiple sightings of MS employees, at which I presume are different Best Buys, considering they were responses to the original post were using words like "at my Best Buy".
So I dunno. Maybe they were just sent an email and told to heckle people at the event. Of course, if the other sources are just phrased weird and they are all from the same place, I would have no trouble believing it was out of the free will of the one employee.
