Anyone else hit comic con today? The Mario Kart booth was amazing, Nintendo really went all out promoting MK8 and the Nintendo store. The atmosphere was electric and everyone playing and watching seemed very happy, i'm pretty sure if they were selling bundles today they would be sold out.

It is unfortunate that the only other Wii U's i saw was in the Monster Hunter section, I don't recall seeing them in the Lego games section but i could be wrong as the PS4 versions were on the edge and so easily accessible. In fact MS and Sony didn't even show anything but due to third party games using their systems they were indirectly represented quite well.

The Evolve booth was probably the most popular after MK8 and although the atmosphere was alot more tense (everyone was concentrating and almost no one was talking), the technical aspect and gameplay did impress alot of the gamers (me included).

PS3 was likely the second most represented console with Ultra Street fighter, the new Naruto ninja storm, One Piece Romance Dawn, Gundam Reborn,m Tales of xillia, Soul Blade, Lego, Ace Combat and more all using it to show case games. But MS also had ultra street fighter, lego marvel & hobbit and a couple over games using them. Namco Bandai stole the show in my opinion but Capcom get kudos for having both controller and arcade stick Ultra SS4 sections.

The 3DS however was all over the place in many dedicated third party booths, i'm pretty sure there were more 3DS's on show than any other console. It was particularly funny watching people awkwardly approach the Senran Burst booth . It also seemed most of attendees that had gaming devices had 3DS's and i managed to have quite a few games with random groups of people in between my expo exploration which was cool.

All in all it was a good event games wise and i'm sure Nintendo will move alot more Wii U's and MK8's thanks to their efforts today, its a shame they didn't have another large booth with currently available games to take advantage of the relative low key competition of PS4 & Xbox1.

Anyone else attend and have any thoughts on the games expo sections?

What do you mean by Nintendo Store ? The eshop ? The online Store ? Some new Retail location (like they have in New York) or something else ?

I wanted to go tomorrow but me being ill and having exams I came to the decision to skip it this time.

Yes, I was there and had a blast! I even bought a couple of t-shirts but unfortunately they barely fit but otherwise, all good! Excuse me while I shamelessly copy what I said in the Mario Kart 8 thread:

Today, I went to the London MCM Expo and MK8 was there so I got to play the game myself. It's obvious at this point but the game was fantastic! I played the whole Flower Cup plus Grumble Volcano and I saw others race and I must say everything looks awesome up close.
Interestingly, Blue Shells were a bit rare. Almost as rare as the Super Horn, imo. They showed up once every couple of races. Also, 2nd place racers can get the Crazy 8. This happened twice, one of which where its Red Shell screwed me out of 1st place (dang my friend's luck XD).
Overall, had a great time. 10/10, would race again

There was even a Smash Bros. Brawl gaming set-up and I instantly went to have a couple of matches when I saw it, then I came back and played some more. They were all 4-player free-4-alls and I won all the matches I played. Today was fantastic and it's so far the best Expo experience I've ever had!

They had all the high quality models on display like the Metriod ship and Zelda & co models (The ship is awesome close up). They also had most of the stuff from the clothing and accessories sections of the cool stuff section of the Nintendo shop.

@DreamyViridi I would agree it was also the best expo experience i've had so far but how did i totally miss the section with Smash Bros!?!?!

@Emblem - Well, y'know how the Nintendo Store was on one side of the hall? The gaming side was pretty much on the opposite side. It was small and unofficial though so I wouldn't blame you for missing it. There was also a set-up for Mario Kart 64, Marvel vs. Capcom and a couple of Dance Dance Revolution games. Saw one guy dance so intensely on one of them while watching Brawl matches. The steps were so fast you'd think he was a human Sonic! My friend said that he was that good because he was Asian. XD
