Who caresd if ypou pay an extra fee? What you think you're nbot paying extra for individual parts, and then what happens when better games come up and oh wait, you need to upgrade those parts then too? Meanwhile I mightas well be set for a few years down the line and not have to. The point is those PCs built for it asre mostly garunteede to do their part when used and taken care of properly. Also, building a PC isn'5t simple, as much as PC eletists like to sugar coat it, it's not like building blocks. You simply have to have the experience to do so.

As far as console wars, there's always going to be a problem regardless of PCs. Multiplat games are another addition entirely that just makes things all the more worse so people can compare this and that, and flame 1 another over which tey think is better. Personally, I'd rather do without, thatw ay everybody has to give each 1 a fair chance if the game itnerests them that badly.

Battlefield 4 and Far Cry 4 are going to be fairly demanding on gaming hardware when they're released. If they're the type of games you're wanting to play, high graphics and processing power intensive titles, i'm not sure why you'd choose to by a Wii U?? Get a gaming PC or the next PlayStaion.

Nintendo aren't interested in keeping up with other platforms in terms of raw power. Although they are probably closer this time around.. They make stylized games that don't require a lot of grunt, they focus on unique input control devices and a very specific gameplay experience that is distinct from the rest of the crowd.... so they are sort of automatically marginalizing themselves from the PS/XBox/PC market. What i'm concerned about is whether the system is going to get really solid 3rd party support to create 3rd party exclusives that actually make interesting use of the gamepad. The other problem is whether they can create enough 1st party titles that interest me on a regular basis. On both counts they sort of failed pretty badly with the wii, but they seem to be making progress into ensuring the games don't cease 4 years into the console's life cycle...hopefully.

AAA graphics intensive games = Gaming PC, Ps4
Nintendo 1st party titles & 3rd party exclusives making good use of the gamepad = WiiU

It sounds as though you want exactly what ps3 & xbox are best at. Why are you even a fan of Nintendo then? - just do what you want dude.

I also thought I wanted that stuff so i bought a ps3. However it quickly dawned on me that those types of games were not what I wanted so I gave my ps3 away.

Nintendo is a developed taste with long term satisfaction. Whereas ps3 and xbox is NOW NOW NOW.

So, just get what you want dude. Get it out of your system.
Then see if you want Nintendo anymore.

It will cost a lot to try out which one is for you, but after you finally are happy with your choice then you will finally commit to the games you own and not buy endlessly to fill the void. (which is by the way what i was doing with ps3... buy buy buy... but i didnt play them for long).

I always only had a Nintendo console.

However after finally giving in to the amazing quantity of games on the competition i bought a ps3. At first i loved it, i was excited, i bought Dragon Age, War for Cybertron, Skyrim, Marvel vs Capcom. It was great.

But you know... after about 6 months i was sick of all of them. I finished 1 of them but the rest i just got bored with and didnt even bother.. skyrim was surprisingly very dull for me. So, anyway, i gave the system to a friend and i went back to playing my Wii and 3ds on a more casual basis.

But, even though i play it on a more casual basis, i play it over a very very long period. I may only play 30 - 60 min a day but i play those games for many years. Whereas with ps3 and xbox i play it and then i get sick of it.

That was the difference for me.

Nintendo has the ones that last a lifetime. and if they only get a small amount of the disposable multi platform crap then thats ok with me, you get sick of them anyway. Just watch the fancy cutscenes on youtube and you've pretty much experienced the 'game'.

If you're an extreme nintendo fan and are interested in these games... how are you still an extreme nintendo fan? Its sad, but Wii U may not get those games, as much as it deserves to. Many reasons for it, such as Nintendo generally having a family friendly image, generally not having the same standard features as the other consoles, not all online features implemented and of course graphic capabilities (Although I doubt Wii U will look significantly behind PS4/720, but could be shocked).
I'll likely bite the bullet and buy PS4 too for the 3rd party games Wii U wont get and the sony exclusives.
While I love my Wii U and am very excited for likes of X, Pikmin, SSB, Mario 3D, Zelda, etc. My...patience? with them is growing thinner and thinner. Its sad really as it isnt their fault, and I do like the way they approach things and be innovative, but seeing the lack of support, it just depresses me to look at my Wii U, and its like this more and more for nintendo. I just have to hope they implement more "standard features" to their console (I hope achievements...) and to improve their online systems.

I think I'm the only person in the world who's disappointed this is Monolith Soft, and not a sequel to X-Scape or a translation of the original.

Anyways, yeah, don't stop yourself from being multi-console if you can afford it. Fanboyism leads to nothing.
