I'm curious to pick this up for the right price but...a month down the line and in the midst of Mario Maker's release, are any of you early adopters still playing online?

DefHalan

Things might pick up once it releases in the US

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Good point. My question therefore is more relevent to other Europeans - I am concerned that IF after a month out here most early adopters have already lost interest online or been sidetracked by an alternate release then that may likely be a precedent for what happens Stateside after an initial bloom once Yoshi and Xenoblade come out.

I'm interested in the game too, but only at a bottom price.

Same here, I'm waiting til it hits the £20 mark.

Can anyone comment how owns the game?

That would require someone owning the game. I'm sorry. I too will pick it up for £5 at some point perhaps.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

The price of this clearly needs to be looked at. The game will only end up being as globally successful as the online community it builds.

If many Europeans are waiting for a price cut that can't reasonably happen until it's been out Stateside (for some time) then there will never be a period when the online community is simultaneously fulfilling it's potential in both markets. The early adopters from both sides of the pond will have likely tired and moved on by 2016 and the developers will have let their key audience go and they probably won't even see the value on keeping the servers running through next year!

Clearly Nintendo should lower the US launch price of this to $30 and make it €20 in Europe...but that's wishful thinking when they're still asking £50 for Ninja Gaiden on the official UK store.

But sold in retail stores for 5-10... Which is what Devil's Third will do in a few months too I hope.

Since I'm a NA guy... I haven't bought the game... yet.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

@Blast: will you be doing so at launch? And what's the feeling amongst your Nintendo circle?

Yes, Devil's Third is not really beautiful, even to be downright at times. And yes, some shortcomings are annoying. However, it offers a well thought out gameplay that seeks above all to have fun.

Honestly forgot that it was even out already.

Edit: Oh, it's not out in NA yet. Guess I'm not getting old yet.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

C-Olimar

I have the game, and I would still play online if the servers would work with my uni's wifi
All I can play is Black Ops 2 online - for some reason games such as Splatoon, D3rd and Mario Kart simply do not connect.

So, this game has now dropped from 60 to 30€ in Spain, after less than a month and a half. Surely a result of how well it's performed in the market...

@LinkSword: That's great news. Maybe we'll start seeing it on shelves under £20 in the UK sometime soon? Mind you, my local GAME didn't even stock any copies from launch!!

This has been £19.99 on UK website simply games.com for several weeks now.

@PGS_71: Thanks for the tip off. Personally I only buy games online from Amazon, EBay and GAME, more so out of habit and assurance more than anything. Might have to broaden my options...
