I do hope they go ahead with it; it'd be spectacular to see Grand Theft Auto in particular on the Wii U.

If new games, then great. Otherwise, i've already got RDR and GTAIV for my 360.

But overall, it's good to know that the Rockstar peeps are into the WiiU. :)

I would hope they made an original title. It would really set them apart from the other developers and publishers and I'd praise them for doing the right thing and not follow the trend of simply porting games over.

Was it really that much of a burden (cost) to do SD versions of their games? It sure seems that way.

It seems to me that 3rd parties are essentially making the WiiU look bad. They messed things up with the 3DS launch in not providing stellar games (very very few exceptions)- Nintendo gave them the opportunity to get their games to sell by holding back the heavy hitter OoT but they screwed things up. I'm not expecting much from them with the WiiU- especially at launch. They seem to never do things right on Nintendo platforms. Nintendo should really push them and say "We'd like it more if you made original content and not port games over." but that's not going to happen. And it's part of the problem...

Looks like 3rd parties are ready to screw WiiU within the first year from the looks of it now. Hope there's a change by then.

Rockstar ported over Manhunt 2 and Bully to the Wii, and they were really enjoyable and good games, with Bully being one of the best I played in a long time.

I don't mind if they port GTA, Red Dead and LA Noire over. I'd buy them all along with all new original IP's they have in petto.
