Isnt the supported resolution by 3DS lower than that supported by WiiU controller? Arent some back buttons, one analog and the possibility to "click" the analogs missing on the 3DS? No idea how it can work even as an optional controller for the WiiU unless for specific games not requiring any of the missing things.

Wii the Circle pad pro does add extra analog nub & 2 extra sholder buttons

So you're suggesting that people have to buy a peripheral that is hard as heck to find to play Wii U games. That sounds counterproductive to me.

@Kawaiipikachu:

Wii U Gamepad:
-6.2 in. 1080p screen
-Predicted $80 to make
-2 clickable analog sticks
-4 shoulder buttons
-Near Field Communication

If you can find a 3DS with these same stats then the 3DS can replace the gamepad.

Yup. This here ends the argument. Case closed

yes except for the price and resolution. I think you're overestimating both of these...... infact I'm near 100% sure it's closer to 640x480 than 1080p and that the screen itself costs significantly less than that to make.

He went on to comment on the visuals, mainly that the Wii U "can display full HD on the TV while streaming a different image at 800X480 on the GamePad". All this whilst maintaining a 60i/s frame rate.
