I prefer Pauline. Reason One: She's surprisingly good looking. Reason Two: Despite being Mario's original love interest, she's only been in the MvDK series since her revival.

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

You dont make sense you asked whos your favorite princess and you said Pauline. Pauline is not a princess. Maybe you should have asked Whos your favorite Mario Damsel in Distress?
ANyway with that said Princess Peach (Toadstool) cause she was the first.

Well we've only got two choices and obviously Peach wins. I stopped calling her toadstool since N64 when her original Japan name was being used. Toadstool sounds like a toads BM. Peach is much better for a princess. What gave you the idea Pauline was a princess?

I believe he meant "princess" in the more general sense, as with Disney; I have nieces who own quite a collection of "Disney Princesses" toys, and quite a few of those featured aren't princesses in the literal sense (Belle from Beauty and the Beast, for instance). "Princess" in this sense just refers to the leading ladies of a franchise.
Also: Rosalina, whose endearing bedtime-book backstory makes her the only interesting princess in Mario franchise.

I would say Rosalina too, although honestly we don't really know much about Daisy. She's only been in one "real" Mario game so we've never really gotten anything on her back story aside from what the sports and party games she's been in have told us.
(SPOILER)
I was really hoping after unlocking Luigi in SM3DL that there would be another 3D picture note of Bowser with Daisy in his clutches but no such luck. Would have been nice to include her in one of the Mario platformers again, especially one that apes its name and not much else from the game she was introduced in.

Belle is too a princess. She wasnt born a princess like Jasmine or Ariel for example but she did end up marring Beast who was a Prince therefore making her a princess.
