The only game of any real quality I recall from LJN was "Back to the Future II & III" for the NES, but even that one's a stretch. The first sucked 1,000,000%.

God, guns, and guts made America; let's keep all three.

Anyone who has not played a whole slew of LJN NES games has not lived as far as I am concerned.

And here I thought this was going to be about Lord Jump Nad. Ohh.

For some reason I thought the same.

You guys beat me to it. Now I have nothing to say. :/

I foresee what you'll do there.

Titus had very good games like Xena of N64. Not all their games were bad.

I think the best 8/16 bit developer was Compile. They were the masters across all systems and never had issues with slowdown or flicker even when everybody else did. The best publishers were whoever published their games.

If it had to be just one publisher then it would have to be Hudson (All the PC Engine stuff is 8bit and the best of the 8bit stuff that exists. Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire you wouldn't believe that is 8 bit)

Now he's reviewed the NES version of Alien 3.

One of the first games I got for the NES was an LJN game: Major League Baseball. Since then I have collected a handful of games published by LJN. The most played of my collection is 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. It's a favorite of the bunch despite it's difficult to the point that I have never finished it without the help of a Game Genie.

The game felt rushed and unfinished. It has also come to my attention that the beta version of the game was far different than what we ended up getting where you play as Freddy himself and you hunted the kids of Elm Street. Obviously this wouldn't have sat well with the censorship gurus at Nintendo of America. So, it has been my theory they got this half-arsed rushed game out when the original plan was crushed.

While the game was published by LJN, it was actually developed by Rare. I own another handful of games by this developer alone. I have usually enjoyed every game Rare has made, at least those in my collection. But this is the first one I've played that was unfairly difficult. There have been other LJN games that I have played that I thought had weird game mechanics and game play. I watch a lot of AVGN and I know he aims a lot of hate towards LJN. I wonder how much of the hate really goes to LJN, and how much goes to the developer.

I cannot say if LJN was a bad publisher. I guess I would have a better answer if I knew which one is is more to blame for the game being a dud.

After the Angry Nerd's latest review, are we going to get a sequel thread "Was Tiger Electronics the best hardware manufacturer?"

Tiger was the best! I really enjoyed all the Tiger Electronics games that I played!

Rare also made Who Framed Roger Rabbit for the NES (though the different GB version was a Capcom game), and X-Men.

Watching AVGN's enemy Nostalgia Critic (I know they are friends in reality), I realize something... LJN is the Steven King of the AVGN's world.

No I'm pretty sure they're the worst XD

Maybe if you actually played them for yourself instead of jumping on the AVGN LJN hate train you'd know that a few of them aren't that bad. T & C Surf I'd say is pretty darn awesome(This may be nostalgia talking haha), Friday the 13th's not too shabby once you get past the broken map(haunting cabin music worthy of LOZ fame), ANOES is actually the most playable of the 3 and is actually sort of fun, but is pretty dissapointing based on what it COULD of been. i can think of far worse NES games like Festers Quest, The Legend of Kage,Total Recal(deer god, one of the worst weekend rentels of my life) ect ect.
