I still think they are pretty decent. Kameo: Power of the Elements, Kinect Sports, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Viva Pinata and Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts were pretty good games.

I think it must be time for yet another Rare thread.

Once every two months or so.

Anywho they never stopped being bad. Even under microsoft the studios has only put out two bad games thus far.

I know, its a topic well worn by this point, but after revisiting some of their games recently I really wanted to try and pin down what qualities they had as a company that helped them create so many hits.

Rare was great because of their direction and team. nowadays, microsoft is leading them in the wrong direction, and part of the team is gone.

i am part of a social group interested in uniting the world by painting it blue.

Rare was a very English studio with a bit of Nintendo hand-holding which made them vastly superior to most of the corporate slaves at major studios. The most corporate and douchey company available at the time was MS and they made the owners richer than their wildest dreams and the company disbanded in all but name. The end.

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.
