I still think they are pretty decent. Kameo: Power of the Elements, Kinect Sports, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Viva Pinata and Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts were pretty good games.

I know, its a topic well worn by this point, but after revisiting some of their games recently I really wanted to try and pin down what qualities they had as a company that helped them create so many hits.
i remember killer 1 on arcade machine with tj combo and a big nintendo logo accross the screen it blew me away.
years later i worked in a toyshop and donkeykong snes came out and wow what a game i had the Donkeykong cd and t-shirt.
Xbone has the rights for Killer 1 and 64 it looks like ? dam shame we wont see killer on wiiu vc.
Rare was a very English studio with a bit of Nintendo hand-holding which made them vastly superior to most of the corporate slaves at major studios. The most corporate and douchey company available at the time was MS and they made the owners richer than their wildest dreams and the company disbanded in all but name. The end.
