I just realized this after I grew up playing the "Genesis" that there's, to me, a secret compartment. Remove the black arrow, the take off the "Do Not Remove" red covering to reveal it. My dad says that it's a programming thing that can hook up the "Genesis" to the PC. is he right?

What model is it? It might be where you hook up the CD attachment to the Genesis.

The person didn't do anything worse if the person has a Sega CD. The secret compartment is found on a Genesis 2.

Don't worry, the cops will be to his place shortly.

I feel like like everything should be built with secret compartments. And no, not so people can stash illegal substances, just it would be more fun

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

No videogame system has a bigger compartment than the Atari 5200... Seriously, you can stash a dead body in that mofo

That happened with the PS2, though. The hard drive compartment basically was empty space.

Hi Baba.

I too have a few model one Mega Drives (Genesis) and a Mega CD. I can confirm the slot under the console is the expansion slot that plugs into the Mega CD and has nothing to do with hooking up the system to a PC.

It’s similar to the RAM expansion slot on the top of the N64 which also has a Do Not Remove sticker on it. It’s to ensure nothing gets damaged or dusty when not in use.
