So the original Resident Evil is coming to PS4/3/XBONE/360/PC early 2015.

It's the 2002 version, which was released on the gamecube.

Très excited.

Why reboot a franchise when you can just render it at a higher resolution and frame rate?

It's a fantastic game, although I refuse to buy it for any other console than Wii U. As someone else said, if it goes cheap in a Steam sale, I might pick it up on PC.

Release a remake of RE2, however, and I will buy it new as soon as reviews have confirmed that it isn't broken.

Shame its not coming to Wii u. The third party situation is so bad it can't get a port of a game that came out on the last three Nintendo consoles.

Anyway I'll probably get for PS4. As long as its $20-.

Based on the title, I would assume this means that a franchise has returned to greatness and/or relevence and not that Capcom chose what their semi-monthly remake announcement was.
