Portable is only 7 bucks. I don't know why you would need to choose between things when the iOS one is really cheap. And Nintendo probably is never getting Minecraft, so don't keep your fingers crossed.

Doubt this will come to nintendo, oddly enough it appeared on steam greenlight today, not from the developers seems it was just someone trolling, though its supposed to cost $100 to put something on greenlight so its obviously someone that's very passionate about trolling or just likes to throw money away I guess,
This is because I don't own a PC and I avoid downloading anything onto my laptop in fear of getting a virus. It would also take longer to get since I only have 7 bucks at the moment.
Oh well, in that case, I'd have to warn you that the iOS/android version of minecraft is basically bare bones and boring compared to the PC one, which is completely safe and virus free (if you buy and download it from the official page, of course).
@3DSAllDay The portable version is god awful. The touch screen controls do not do this game justice - at all. But if it's your only means of getting it (no Xbox 360 or PC- I know you don't want to download anything), then maybe you should if you want it that badly. Personally, I'd spare myself the rage of playing on a touch screen and wait for it to come to Nintendo's platforms, which may or may not happen.

@Morphtorok I already own mutant mudds on 3DS so I won't need kid tripp. I think I will be getting Infinity Blade or a whole bunch of high rated $0.99 games xD.
